Overwhelming? How much more than whelming would that be exactly?

Ghost werewolf? Could be.

Right, King of Mississippi silvered and cemented, that's ringing a bell or two.

So, just lots of chickens coming home to roost all over the place.

The status is NOT quo.

People. True Blood slayed me tonight. Stop killing the best characters, damn it!

"We have trust issues." Mylar

Wow, I have been underwhelmed by True Blood this season, but tonight's finale was all killer, no filler. The Hoyt/Jessica/Jason triangle continues to break my heart in the best way ever. And as much as I loved Hoyt/Jess, Jess/Jason is equally yummy for very different reasons and it also kept the odious Crystal and her Hotshot brood at bay for the back half of the season, so thanks for that. Poor LaLa. That family still can't catch a break. He killed Jesus and then Tara gets killed by Debbie Pelt. I hope both of them stick around in spirit form next season. Lafayette needs some good ghost friends. I'm sorry for what Tara's death is going to do to Sookie and Lafayette but I can't say I'm all that sorry to see her go for herself. Her character almost always bugged me except for that one season where she and her crazy mama had the witch/demon possession storyline.

I'm scared for Terry because I love him and seeing bad things happen to him next season will make me sad. I mean, worse things than getting mixed up with Arlene (although her kids continue to be 15 different flavors of awesome). I cheered a little bit for Andy and his "I can be good to someone if they'll let me" speech to Holly. I do enjoy those Bellefleurs.

I was excited to see the return of Reverend Newlin although I imagine he's no longer a devotee of the Fellowship of the Sun. I'm almost positive that the dug up vamp was Russell Edgington. Too bad Nan won't be around to tell us all how it's gonna go down in a post-post-Russell Edginton world. And on the Nan front, I love the dynamic duo of Bill and Eric. They should just cut out the middle woman and hook up now that Sookie has left them both. And poor Pam. Pam is too fabulous to cry on the floor of Fangtasia.

Don't care at all about Debbie Pelt dying, except inasmuch as I think that may be the first person Sookie has ever killed the old fashioned, non-magic way and that is bound to fuck a body up. I'm bored with Alcide, too. He never got past pretty. I don't know who the wolf is menacing Sam, but that has got to be a better storyline than the shifter crap he went through this season. Luna is still annoying and seemingly kinda stupid. I keep hoping she's skinwalking and beneath the Luna exterior is someone much more interesting, but nothing doing thus far. And her daughter is like the anti-Arlene's kids. I hope they get eaten off screen and don't come back.

I didn't love the season. Marnie the character was great. Marnie the storyline was tired up to and including the reaping of her soul (although great to see Gran again).

"Oh no! Has falling sky liquid once again caused you the sadness?" -Starfire

I have to say, I kind of hated this season. It's almost like Alan Ball resented the fact that most fans don't love Bill as much as he loves Bill, so he gave us a really crappy Eric and Sookie romance to make us pay.

Tonight's episode was really good though! Nice setup for next season! The return of Russell Edgington! Vampire Steve Newlin! (and oh how I hope we get to see Sarah Newlin next season!) The return of awesome Andy Bellefleur!

I'll miss Debbie Pelt though. I loved her crazy!

Surprisingly, I'm not overly upset by the deaths of Jesus and Tara.

My biggest disappointment was that the actor who plays Lafayette could have done SO MUCH BETTER portraying Marnie. She was such a distinctive character and that barely came through when he was being possessed by her.

"And to be clear, I am the hell. And the high water."

Can a vampire save Tara? I'm wondering if Eric or Bill will come to Sookie and save Tara.

I do believe in killing the messenger, you know why? Because it sends a message. ~ Damon Salvatore

that's what i'm assuming will happen, le n. if Jessica can save Jason from being burned to a crisp, they can probably help Tara too. though maybe not if she's already dead.

I'll miss Debbie Pelt though. I loved her crazy!

not me! i've been waiting all season for Sookie to shoot her ass!

I know my own heart and understand my fellow man. But I am made unlike anyone I have ever met. I dare to say I am like no one in the whole world. - Anne Lister

I'm with you, Rayne. Worst season of TB yet, IMO. Can they just give us an Eric and Pam Fangtasia spin-off?

Also, I am just so so sad about the loss of Andy Whitfield (Spartacus). [link]

Trust my rage

I would hope that Tara having half her head blown off would mean she was well and truly dead. After a while, dead doesn't mean much. Why not bring Jesus back too?

Seriously Trueblood? You've got no Wiccan/Pagan advisors? Really?
