TW -- Agreed that the unrelenting gloom is getting to be a bit much. (Though I liked ordinaryman Rhys's drive through the gate....)
But I'd add that there are just too many subplots to do them all justice. We barely saw Jack in this episode. And no Oswald. Though lack of Oswald is almost a plus -- between the unlikelihood of a convicted child rapist and murderer becoming a (cult? folk? mass?) hero and the ever-irritating Jilly, that storyline is better off red (rhymes with "dead").
Yeah, the vampire blood connection could well be the root cause of the attraction.
Can I just say that I hate the Andy Bellefleur is a V addict storyline? Tiresome.
Torchwood: y'all are more articulate than I could be on what's wrong with Torchwood this season, but I am also dissatisfied. I do want to find out what's behind the "miracle" enough to keep watching, but it's kind of a chore. I'm starting to think that going for a season-long arc (or long miniseries, whatever it is wit the subtitle and all) was a poor choice. Then again, I didn't like Children of Earth and I've seen at least a couple of reviews that mention CoE as a step up from regular season Torchwood, so what do I know?
-t - right there with you for Andy Bellefleur and the V addict storyline. I hate that they seemed to have dumped the Andy-Halleigh romance.
Oh, yeah, I forgot that was even a thing! And it started off pretty sweet.
This is exactly how I'd react if I met Alexander Skarsgard!
Her face! That's priceless (and who could blame her?)
Game of Thrones scripts stolen. They were to be auctioned off for charity.

Jason Momoa breaks into Dothraki during an interview on the Conan tour. (I put it here because of the Dothraki.)
the ever-irritating Jilly,
Hey! (I know, I know, not me. But I get cranky when people with my name are annoying.)
I feel bad for Jessica, but it's kinda what should happen for her character, really. Not that it's what she deserves, but that's just the sort of thing that happens at that age, and probably to young vampires, too.
Yeah. Welcome to your turbulent teens & early twenties, along with vampire issues. Drama galore.
(Tho' her dream sequence of breaking up with Hoyt, then going out to Jason in the truck? Complete fan service for myself and my friend. We spontaneously high-fived each other at the line
"You look so hot covered in blood!")
