I am still on season one, and I am really liking it. The stuff I read seems to indicate that people don't like Davis, but I find him hysterical. I might find him annoying if I knew him.

I think they relate to him too much and think that Blown Deadline must be taking the piss or something.

I think that the idea is that they're really good musicians playing in familiar genres.

Jazz musicians are extremely accustomed to jamming-- you get the chord changes going and then just improvise. It's beautiful.
