Yes. In the book we didn't know about it until after the fact.
Now that I've read the book, I can see how much they're skimming over, and last night especially seemed to pack in a lot of shorthanded scenes. Which is not to say I didn't enjoy it, just that I'm glad I started reading the books, too.
On the other hand - non p.o.v. characters come to life more. And I think that simultaneity of the action is more apparent.
Oh, I agree, I just love how much detail and *world* I've gotten through the book.

I was shocked when the things that S doesn't know are coming happened in the book, so I'm glad someone will be shocked when they happen onscreen. With a side order of poor noodle feeling.
