it also seemed like the metal became incredible heavy after it cooled, so that also might be enough to kill a person.
Premium Cable: The Cursing Costs Extra
[NAFDA] A thread for the discussion of all original programming on HBO, Showtime, Starz and other premium channels.
This is NOT a general TV discussion thread.
Ought to be the same weight, really, but it would contract as it cooled. That wouldn't be good for you, certainly.
of course that makes sense.
I wondered if it would cool/harden that quickly, but either way, it was a great scene.
At a Science museum, I once got to hold a small ingot less than two minutes after it was poured into a mold. Maybe half the size of a credit card and no thicker than a Hershey bar, so while it didn't have all that much to lose in the way of heat, it was still startlingly coolish. Startlingly heavy, too.
I really liked the Aerie trial by combat scene. It was a good counterpoint to Arya's dancing lesson, which was a good counterpoint to Sansa being petty and emotional.
Treme: loved seeing Tom C and Ripert, though I felt like my TV worlds were colliding. Not so happy if Jeanette stays in New York working for Ripert. As was said in the show, that's a good gig.
Will be watching Treme tonight. Excited to see TC and the Ripper.
I really liked the Trial by Combat scene.
I also loved that conversation that Ned had with his daughters where he tells Sansa that he'll find her somebody gentle, thoughtful and kind (blah, blah, blah) when she's old enough and she says, "I don't want (blah, blah, blah), I want to marry Prince Joffrey." I believe that Arya and I started laughing at the same time.
He was good. "A friend of mine would really love you," was almost too much meta, but it was funny, so...
The United States of Tara has been canceled. I'm disappointed. This season has been great, especially with the addition of Eddie Izzard.
