Although the thing about The Wire always is, that liking a guy isn't always a sign that he is worthy

Seriously. I'm so entertained when McNulty uses his powers for both good and evil, but I wouldn't touch him with a 100-foot relationship pole.

I would. Yes. No. Maybe. But I wouldn't expect much good once the clothes went back on.

Punishingly Intricate

I loved last night's ep of course except I really, really dislike Theresa D'Agostino or whatever her name is. Both the character and the actress bug the crap out of me. I could deal with not liking the character (I mean, look what her line of work is) but the actress is just really stiff. And it stands out so much in that amazing cast.

I was happy to see Brianna again. Is there something else up with Namond's mom aside from her being a big spender? It seemed like they were hinting at something but it also makes sense to me that money was gone because she is living a very expensive life.

My personal fave moment from last night: Carcetti's campaign manager (Norman) imitating Clay Davis. Sheeee-it! hee hee

That cracked me right up, too.

YES YES YES! That's the only casting choice that bugs the shit out of me, because the actress is dumber than her character is supposed to be. I never doubt any of the other characters, but she sounds like she sounding every single word out, including "a," "and," and "the."

I love that Bodie said "insight" yesterday. Given that most dealers in most shows and movies are presented as know-nothing perps and skels.

GF and I watched the first ep of Big Love on DVD last night. She is uninterested, but I want to keep watching. Any BL lovers? Haters? My main reason for wanting to watch is bizarre experiences that I had when visiting our Utah offices (shiver). I read Under the Banner of Heaven (a book about fundamentalist Mormons) for the same reason and found it disturbing and fascinating.

I have friends (who I generally share the same taste in tv with) who are super into it. I couldn't get past the premise when it originally aired but, if I ever have any free time again, I think I'll give it a shot.

It's on our Netflix queue, but I have no opinion at this time.*

I'm gonna keep going with it, so I'll let you guys know how it progresses. I already think I'm going to love to hate Chloe Sevigny's character.
