We're finishing up S3 of The Tudors. Even after 3 seasons I cannot get past all of the perfectly shaved legs of the Tudor age women.
sj - i could write off shaven legs since razors were in existence and court ladies did all manner of insane things in the name of fashion. Hrm. Historians don't seem to write much about Tudor-era depilation trends.
It seems unlikely though... I know Ancient Romans were pretty fanatical about removing body hair, but I don't think it became a cultural trend again in the West until the early 20th century.
