can you explain how the marriage happened in the books? The folks on TWOP don't really like the S-A character at all.

Well, in the books there was a negotiated marriage between the King of Arkansas and the Queen of Louisiana - which resulted in a massacre on their wedding night. The King of Mississippi, in a later book, marries the King of Kentucky (or was it Indiana) in what seems to be a love match. Arkansas had been trying to use the marriage to Sophie-Anne to expand his powerbase and luckily for Eric and the other LA vamps - he failed.
Very different.
interesting.
thank you all very much for this information.
I don't think that he is. She just bached his head in with the mace. In this 'verse, vamps only have "true death" when their heads are cut off or they are stabbed through the heart with a wooden stake.
I don't think he is dead either, and I think the scene where Tara was trying to convince Sookie that Bill is dead, and Sookie explained what a dead vampire looked like foreshadowed that.
I'm not happy that Sookie had Bill's help in killing Lorena, and Alcide and Tara's help in getting him away. In the book, she stakes Lorena all by herself, gets away from the compoun with an unconscious Bill.
Sookie is kinda dumb a lot, but this took away a bit of her agency.
Also, I really wonder how far they are going to go away from the books now. I mean, Sophie Ann and Sookie's interactions are a pretty significant part of several books.
Also, please GOD let them line up Vin Diesel for Quinn. PLEASE GOD THANK YOU JESUS PLEASE.
Can we be sure that Quinn will be in this 'verse?
Oh, please, I hope so. I just...really kinda want Vin Diesel as him on TB, since I always pictured Quinn as Vin (heh) when I was reading the books.
If they brought in dog fighting with shifters, I daresay, weres are not far behind. It wouldn't be much of a jump.
That is so NOT Claudine.
Book stuff: But in the books the fighting that Quinn does is totally in the supe community - shifter vs. shifter but in the tv show it's shifter vs. dog with an audience that doesn't know about the existance of shifters.
I think that's a very different thing.
