Exactly. But he seems very deliberate, somehow, with the flirting and turning on Sophie-Anne (how in hell did she get to be Queen of Louisiana when everyone holds her in such contempt, anyway?). she was also about 15 years old.
i'm also annoyed with how willy nilly they're treating the whole "dead during the day" thing from the books.
Well, seriously. When Franklin and Tara were at that motel - sun was streaming in through the windows. He should have been a cinder.
Book!Sophie Anne is waaaay more ruthless, strong and strategic.
She is the least well-realized book-based character on the entire show. For real.

Quick video interview with Joe Manganiello who plays Alcide and here is that little Alexander Skarsgard-Denis O'Hare chat from prior to the season opener.
Am I wrong, or did the writers totally plagiarize that "wear your ribcage as a hat" line straight from Buffy in "Becoming Part II?"
ETA: Yep: with Whistler, "If you're gonna crack jokes, I am going to pull out your ribcage and wear it as a hat."
BAD WRITERS, NO COOKIE.
