Haven't got to it yet, but point taken...in between seasons might be a good place to put those "Rockford Files" movies or something(What? I can't have layers?)

I loved it, but then again, that's a genre I really like. Good therapy movies: Ordinary People. Good Will Hunting. Klute. The Doctor (well, kind of). Um. There are more! Here's an interesting article. [link]

Art Crawl!!!

HBO has greenlit a pilot from David Milch and Michael Mann about horseracing - it's called "Luck."

Yeah, I liked them too(well, haven't seen Klute yet) but I also saw "Nuts" with Barbra Streisand, and as much as I liked some of her other work, really, nsm.

"And to be clear, I am the hell. And the high water."

I just saw Klute. Man, that movie was not at all what I expected. It was actually much more boring than I expected.

It's been forever since I've seen it, too. I remember worrying for her and being impressed by how boho and mature she was, because she was so much older than me, of course. Now I'm sure I'd look at her and think how young she is. Ah youth, and film.

Entourage...initial thoughts on the first few eps in Season Six, that I've now seen because Java helped me out. Ok, I now understand why AG made such a point of saying that his own mother taught him to drive, though he came up in Brooklyn. That "rich in love" thing on "Leno", while quite endearing, is also the kind of thing that would make someone's mother call him and say "Don't tell people that!"(Although my main problem with the conflation of Grenier and Chase is that it makes AG feel that when he is not doing Entourage, he should wear an untrimmed Grizzly Adams beard that does him no favors.) I think the people that didn't like this season are not so much "Entourage" fans as "Living the High Life" and "Hug it Out, Bitch" fans who don't care about most of the characters and stuff like that. Or, you know, disappointed Vince/E shippers who are dismayed about E's burgeoning social life(although it bothers me how teenaged the latest girl looks, even though she's not.And E/Sloan has way better chemistry, even though I can't say I'm invested in whether they get together or not.)

I think United States of Tara has the best pilot I've seen since The Sopranos. Most pilots are well, not boring, but kind of.

Cheerios: If anyone really wants my thoughts on Entourage season 6, they're here. [link] You don't have to, obviously.

I've loathed Jay Leno ever since the Arnold announcing thing; I'd forgotten about VC being on it. It is always interesting to see something like that from a backstage point of view though.

Yes, that waif E is dating has very odd characteristics. Ashley. She reminds me of someone but I'm not sure who. Fiona Apple, maybe? Who is she anyway? [link] Alexis Dziena. She was on 2 eps of Joan of Arcadia. She comes across as way psycho.

Have you gotten to the part that Melinda Clarke is in? It's short but they open up to some interesting backstory about Ari, Mrs. Ari, and Melinda.

I really like Sloane. I'm rooting for E and Sloane. Also very glad that they gave Turtle a life, finally.
