Add Calamity Jane and Julie's list is a lot like mine. But I really came to appreciate Farnum's comedy as well. Some of those episodes are pretty dark and it's nice to have a laugh when you find one. Ha...if swergin is Cox, and Tolliver is Kelso, that leaves Seth Bullock writing in his journal with the unicorn on it, doesn't it? Funny thought, that.

Punishingly Intricate

For fans of the Wire and Simon: The Baltimore Sun just gutted its staff.

Oh the Sun has been gutting its staff and content for a long while now. Last week they stopped having the Monday & Tuesday "Life" or whatever sections as separate sections and jammed what content they kept into the Sports and front page sections. It's ridic. I can't give up my local paper delivery addiction though. What would I read as I walked the dog in the morning?

I thought maybe you all in Premium would find this funnier than the people at DN seem to. [link]

Remember that the frontier of the Rebellion is everywhere. And even the smallest act of insurrection pushes our lines forward.

HBO has just ordered 9 episodes of the pilot Treme from The Wire writers David Simon and Eric Overmyer which has been in development for the pay channel. It's a post-Katrina hourlong set in the New Orleans music scene and will be filmed there.

It's kind of funny that I've ended up an Entourage fan, cause when I was on HBO .com that was Not Done among Wirefiends. Cause we, you know, Keep it Real and all that...have no need for that...I believe the term I learned was "Hollywood dreck"...the irony of using Yiddish to diss a Hollywood show never escaped me. We generally got along with the Deadwood folks, sent pseudo-rivalrous woof tickets to the Sopranos paisans, and tried to pretend SATC and Entourage didn't exist.
