So, I'm watching Deadwood S1 Ep6 and OMG! Kristin Bell! Veronica Mars in Deadwood!

My love for this show just continues to grow. It's SO FUNNY, in its grim way. And each character works so hard for my love, it's difficult to pick a favorite. I have very strong love for Seth and Sol, Jane, and even Al. But the other characters really pull their weight and delight me constantly -- the Doc, Charlie Utter, and the weirdo, epileptic preacher.

Yeah, that's very well-spoken. For a Hollywood cocksucker.

You're, as always, a special kind of asshole, Corwood, if I can mix 'verses for a minute. It was "Hollywood" with "cocksucker", huh? I may not be a Milch, but I knew that "L.A." in such a spot is not as funny, although I couldn't say why...total instinct.

Also from the episode yesterday?

I loved the scene near the end, with Jane and Charlie talking to Bill's tombstone. It was so touching and heartbreaking. And funny!

This is why I love Deadwood and The Wire in a nutshell.

Yeah...not just the profanity.

Although Simon said(reach for the sky, motherfucker. I said Simon says.) that he used to get taken out of the story on H:LOTS sometimes because they weren't allowed to cuss like detectives.(I had that as a tag for a while, a quote by him to the effect that "No detective I know could tell that story without swearing at least eight times.")

Just watched The Wire 4.4. God bless HBO On Demand and my kindly friends who have it.
