"Cry havoc and let slip the boobs of war!" -- Miracleman

Sooooo. Who has an idea for what Sam was doing streaking?

he probably transformed somewhere and didn't have any clothes. Maybe his clothes were hidden near the house that exploded. He might have been watching the house in case Sookie went over there.

Now tagless for your comfort.

This episode feels so bridgey. Just adds more questions.

I hate the Buffy trope that whenever you sleep with a guy he goes all evil. Or at least indifferent.

Have to assume Bill has a plan. He's giving me whiplash with the broody, sensitive vamp versus the cold, killer hanging with his own kind.

Still loves the way he says "Sookie" better than anyone else.

"Fuck Western ideologically-motivated gender identification!" Sulu gasped, and came.

Ngah. I really want to see this damn show! Regardless of whether or not it's pants! I am intrigued!

Amen to both.

I'm going to have to rewatch. We had an Amber alert right at the point where Sam broke the pool cue...which made me giggle given somebody's comment up thread about having seen that scene too many times without resolution.

And can I just say, I've never seen an Amber alert on a television before. I didn't know that is how they worked!

I have to admit the closeup of Bill biting Sookie was sexier than I thought it would be. I swear, it's like I'm a Victorian stereotype but vampires are all. about. the. sex.

Are we talking about Sam or Bill? If Bill, I think that he was just trying to get the vamps away from the crowd. It was a volatile situation, and one guy had already been thrown across a room. I don't think that he doesn't care about Sookie.

It's a little like high school where the boy that likes you has to pretend like he doesn't so his friends won't make fun of him. Only in this case, so his friends won't kill you.

If we're talking about Sam, well, Tara deserved it. She's been running hot and cold on him since the beginning. It's always bad form to run out after sex, unless somebody's in the hospital, and an explanation and making up must happen.

Yeah, I realize Bill's behavior has a reason. I don't doubt his affection for Sookie and his need to defuse the situation and get the vamps out of Merlotte's made him act expeditiously. I think I like Sookie's reaction. She seemed confused at first but then didn't get angry or show her hurt--she's confident in Bill's feelings for her and did everything she could to warn him of the vigilantes, rather than pout or cry about what he said or get jealous of skanky vamp girl.

Sam's just as hot & cold with Tara, so he sort of deserves it, too. He doesn't want strings but he acted all hurt when Tara took off. He sends as many mixed signals as Tara does. She's at least honest about her dysfunction. I think they're both so emotionally fragile and distant that I love them together.

I just went to the library and borrowed three Sookie Stackhouse audiobooks.

I can't help myself.

Same here. Cleolinda's recaps are luring me in.

Come, join me in the Victorian stereotype corner! We have a lovely fainting couch, a selection of teas, and laudanum!
