It's simple. I slap 'em around a bit, torture 'em, make their lives hell...Sure, the nice guys'll run away, but every now and then you'll find a prince like Spike who gets off on it.

Well, he was justified because they were hurting Sookie.

I think that the dog is another vampire who can change form.

I couldn't decide to be amused or disgusted when Jason pointed at himself in the mirror when he was having sex with that girl.

I chose disgusted, Vortex. That boy doesn't have a lot of redeeming qualities.

I'm wondering about Bill inviting Sookie over if those unsavory vamps would be there. I'm totally hooked into what's going on now.

I think that the dog is another vampire who can change form.

I have a theory about the dog:

  • The dog seems to want to look out for Sookie
  • the dog does not like Bill
  • there is a picture a very similar looking dog over Sam's desk
  • it took waaay too long for Sam to run from the bar, out into the parking lot when Sookie took off after the Ratrays...but the dog was there the whole time
  • Sookie does not hear Sam...of her own volition?
  • Sam said, "It must be very relaxing for you to not be able to hear the vampire
  • Then, when Sookie refused to listen to his thoughts he said,"You might be surprised by what you hear."

Therefore: Sam is the dog.

I was bummed, by my research into this theory, to discover that Sam is only in 4 episodes. I like him.

well, maybe he had uninvited guests.

Sookie has heard him before. He kept thinking how much he loved her.

I noticed the dog guarding the sleeping girl in the painting in Sam's office, too. I wondered if it had significance.

I also thought it took waaaay too long for Sam to find Sookie when she saved Bill from the Ratrays.

I'm not looking at spoilers but I'm tempted.

Why isn't everyone pelting me with JOY, dammit? - Zenkitty

Cash, yeah the Angelina headline was an awesome piece of set decoration.

Well, he was justified because they were hurting Sookie.

And attacked him (the night before? Not clear how much time has passed) and would have drained him and left him for dead. Vengeance isn't necessarily noble, but Bill does specify that he's not human. And how many of us, with that kind of strength and power, wouldn't have pulverised the Rattrays in those circumstances?

I couldn't decide to be amused or disgusted when Jason pointed at himself in the mirror when he was having sex with that girl.

I'm with Cash. He's really starting to skeeve me in a big way.

And who's really really ready for Tara to get over the crush & the pining? ::raises hand:: Does she really seem like the type who would yearn for a bad boy, certain she could "fix" him? Not that strong (mouthy, wanna-be diva-y) women haven't had their kryptonite in the form of pretty eyes and a charming smile before, but...blah - I'm so over it.

Bonny, where did you find details on the actors' # of appearances?

no kidding. I don't mind her having an unrequited attraction, but the pining has got to go. And the hopeful puppy eyed look whenever he comes in the room can go right behind it. I want them to hook up and for him to be terrible or impotent (maybe drunkenness or something), so she doesn't want anything to do with him. Then, he follows after her begging for another chance. That would amuse me.

"We have trust issues." Mylar

Well, that was a fun second episode. The Angelina headline was genius. I wish there were a little more of that type of wit in the show, but maybe it'll get there.

I like hot nekkid men as much as the next person (maybe more) but I have had enough of watching hot brother fucking. Did it really add all that much to last night's show? I don't think so. Just because you can get away with more on pay cable doesn't mean that you should.

Tara was a little bit less shrill this week than last, but she is still just really one note for me. I suppose the scenes with her mom were supposed to help explain why she is the way she is, but I really just . . . don't care all that much. She is mean and up to now fairly pointless. And I'll just second those who want her to get the hell over nekkid brother. She should get with bartender #2 from last night. He's relatively cute and seems to think she's funny.

I also like Bill more this week than last. I do think Bill and Sookie have really good chemistry together and he was adorable with the grandmother. And the kiss was very hot. Sadly, I still don't find him all that attractive. Eh.

I don't know exactly what's up with the dog and Sam. Is he a vampire? A werewolf (do they even have those in this verse)? A dog-wolf? I think I'd be disappointed if he turns out to be more than just an ordinary human. He's just about the only decent dude on the show (And what was up with the Cajun guy? Creepy much?). There should be at least one good human male, no?

And the bad vamps at the end were just so cartoon-y, cheesy bad that I was a little bit embarrassed for them. Fangs 1 license plate? Blood donor bumper sticker? Bad disco fashion? She smells fresh? Why so corny, bad vamps? Poor form.
