Life moves pretty fast. You don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.

Wow, I KNEW I woke up early for a reason!

"We are the Goon Squad and we're coming to town...Beep! Beep!" - David Bowie, "Fashion"

Top 5!!!! (3...is a magic number...)

Also, ELSWORTH!!! NOOOOOOO!!!!!

On a slightly different note, I've watched the first two episodes of season 1 of DEADWOOD, and it's fascinating how much they have been referenced or otherwise echoed/contrasted with the last few epsiodes of the new season. The irony of Al & company protecting Sofia shows how far that character has gone from outright villain to someone much more complex.

Punishingly Intricate

Is there only one more ep of Deadwood left?

If so, NOOOOOOO!

There are supposedly also going to be 2 (I assume) two-hour movies at some point, but I will believe that when I'm watching them.

Don't have cable myself, but I like hearing about Deadwood.

aka "The artist formerly known as Corwood Industries."

I haven't seen this week's episode of Deadwood yet, and may avert my eyes from this until I can catch up this evening.

That said, I've been watching The Corner, David Simon's pre-Wire show, which focuses (thus far) on a single family torn apart by crack addiction. It's lacking in The Wire's levity, although solidly written (and somewhat less solidly directed). Rather depressing, actually.

Well, I'm subscribed. I only have Showtime and I don't even know which shows are found there, but I figure if I poke a nose in here occasionally I might just find something new and interesting to watch. Which channel has Deadwood?

I think my reaction was, FUCKERS!

Also, could the theatre people just go away already? We don't have that much time left and they're wasting what little we have.

Amen. I've been enjoying some of Brian Cox's scenes, but not the ones with the troupe and not enough to make up for the time-suck the rest of the troupe scenes have been.

I did like the talent show a few weeks back, but that's because it allowed for some good character moments from the townspeople.
