Always Anti-fascist!

DS makes you work for it, doesn't he? He's my fake husband, but he's a total son-of-a-bitch. (What does that make me, besides being fucked up enough to be proud that if he ever saw that, he'd know I placed the hyphens properly.Ink-stained wretch love, it's quite a thing) I could help, but someday you'll be glad I didn't.

What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

MAJOR RAWLS IS A MAJOR PAIN IN MY ASS.

Seriously, it's so irritating that no one else in the goddamn police department is supporting this case! When it's an awesome case with secret codes and pay-phone surveillance and murder-by-pagers.

They killed Omar's boyfriend! And now I'm warming up to him. Omar don't scare!

I groaned and writhed in agony at the fact that AVON FUCKING BARKSDALE WAS WALKING AROUND IN THE PIT AND NO ONE FUCKING SAW HIM. GODDAMN YOU, URINATION.

(Also, it's maddeningly interesting that no one onscreen has ever addressed Avon by name. And, in fact, the only reason I'm positive that he is Avon Barksdale is because he got an epigraph.)

This show just keeps getting better, doesn't it? Because it can't really help it?

Punishingly Intricate

Oh, yes, my young friend. It most certainly does!

(and, I believe there was some discussion earlier about Season 2? And talk of how it is not considered as good as some of the other seasons? I love it. AND it features an appearance by my friend's now-husband's penis! Baltimore is a small town.)

What? I didn't sign up for penises! I signed up for BOOBS.

Also, when Keamy and Omar were talking, it sounded like Bailey had died. I assumed Bailey was the third guy in the trio that robbed the stash. When did he die?? I didn't see that at all.

Wasn't onscreen. That's what McNulty told Omar.

Oh, okay. Wanted to make sure I didn't miss something.

And yet you watched Oz?

Which gave me the most terrifying boobs of all.

Okay, after they fought so hard not to show their hand by delaying the murder charges, why the fuck would they make a very public drug bust? Because they just caused what they were trying to avoid: Barksdale is indeed changing shit up. I don't get it. Did they really think getting the runner would be worth it? And what the hell was that with Pres? He seemed to recognize that one-eyed kid, and Lt. Daniels also seemed to know him.

And now they've got Bird in custody. Surely, Barksdale will figure out they're onto him. I thought they were trying to be more discreet! Wait until you can take it all down from the top! This is a complicated business.

From what I've gathered, the seasons seem to be very discrete stories. Is the overall continuity more characterwise than plotwise?

Think, man! Why would Prez recognize a one-eyed kid? Why is Prez stuck in-office?
