This episode seemed funnier than the show has been in a while. I hope they keep it up.
The addition of Hearst looks to be a good source of conflict. I hope the third season returns to more of the power dynamics I enjoyed in season one. I like season two all right, but it wasn't as engaging, and there were parts that either bored me or confused me too much to care about them (like the entire annexation plot).
I don't know if it's coincidence or your arguments, but I'm actually liking Jane this season. It does help to put her in a scene with kids, as they bring out the best in her.

It's always tough to remember that for every Deadwood HBO has shown, there has been a Mind Of The Married Man.
Or that Louis C.K deal that I watched once and am still offended by. That shit ain't seemly, yo.
Y'know, I hated the first one of those Louis CK shows that I saw (which may have been the very first episode), but I saw another one recently and liked it.
