What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

That was a nice shot, Scrappy.

Gleets! Ew! Did Ian McShane do something bad to be saddled with that?

Alma vs. Farnum is very amusing.

Stephen Tobolowsky! Covered in facial hair! And, aaaah, getting a blowjob!

So, wait: is Farnum's rumor true, then? It seemed like they were discussing exactly what everyone was afraid of.

Who the fuck is Crop Ears, what did he want with Al, and why did Dan kill him? That whole thing was weird.

I don't know how Wolcott is supposed to make Madame rich.

I actually sort of liked Jane in this episode, to my surprise.

Who the fuck is the little general, and why did that guy want to kill him? That whole thing was weird. I swear, I don't know what's going on on this show half the time.

Alma's pregnant! Because that always happens.

Where the hell did Sarah Paulson's character come from, and when the fuck did she shack up with Adams? I thought she was supposed to be leaving for Chicago. Was she cavorting with Adams the whole time she was with Alma?

What is the deal with Wolcott? WHAT IS THE FUCKING DEAL?

Fuckin' Yankton.

aka "The artist formerly known as Corwood Industries."

I will answer no questions, but do request, for the sake of my delicate sensibilities, that we call the NG by his initials or some such nickname, being cognizant of the different times in which we live than where the show is set. I believe "little general" is one we settled on at one board.

No problem. I'm finding it weird to hear the word being tossed around so freely myself.

By answering no questions, are you implying I'm not actually supposed to know what's going on? Is this like Neon Genesis Evangelion ?

"And to be clear, I am the hell. And the high water."

The NG (little general) - as it were - had Beau and me hiding under the kitchen table for most of the series.

Beau put it: "that is one defeated Black man."

I think you should be able to discern or speculate about the answers to most of your questions.

Per the little general v. Steve the Drunk: idiots are fond of racism and scapegoats. But there will be more.

Sarah Paulson: she's a nanny Alma hired. Her thing with Adams will be explained.

Wolcott: You know there's something not right about the man. And he works for George Hearst, who's like the entire energy industry in one man.

Heh. I assume he wasn't actually a general, right? I don't know whose uniform he's supposed to be wearing.

Oh, okay. I thought it was more complex than that. I got the racism part. But they suddenly went from "Let's kill the commissioner!" to "Let's tar the black dude!" for no apparent reason.

Sarah Paulson: she's a nanny Alma hired.

Yeah, I got that, although she just sort of appeared a few episodes ago without any explanation, as if she'd been there a while.

Her thing with Adams will be explained.

Okay.

Wolcott: You know there's something not right about the man.

There appear to be several things not right about the man.

And he works for George Hearst, who's like the entire energy industry in one man.

I see.

The "defeated" remark wasn't much about him being a general - or fighting in any war.

Punishingly Intricate

What is the deal with Wolcott? WHAT IS THE FUCKING DEAL?

oh, lord, well...

WHAT THE FUCK HE KILLED DORIS.

WHAT THE FUCK HE KILLED CARRIE.

WHAT THE FUCK HE KILLED WHATSERNAME.

WHAT THE FUCKING FUCK IS WRONG WITH THIS FUCKER?

And Sarah Paulson had a Hidden Agenda! All this time! What it actually is, I'm still not quite sure about. Because it seems like she's paying Al to take the fall. Or something. Or she's paying Al to rat out Alma, who had nothing to with it.

I'm liking Alma more this season, I think because she's actually DOING shit instead of sitting in her room all fucking day waiting for Bullock to rip her clothes off. Now she's starting a bank!

And Trixie is trying to get Ellsworth to marry Alma! Shit, she's reminding me of Effy from Skins now. Way to solve other people's problems by manipulating other people!

Mr. Wu is awesome.

Steve the Drunk masturbated on a horse. That's just wrong.

Nooooo, not the presses!

Al recovered just in time to see all of Deadwood going to shit.

That was one hell of an episode.
