Always Anti-fascist!

I always thought Alma had an instinct for hardball, (not the Chris Matthews kind) considering her addiction and, um, what she would probably call her "station in life". I suspect things had always been tougher for her than they looked.

HAH! I was reading this as the Alma from the Wire and was, like, "Wha huh? Did I miss an episode?"

Now let us crush something soft and watch it fountain blood. That is a girlish thing to want to do, yes?

I watched Brokeback Mountain 4 times this weekend. Who knew there were so many Almas?

Her name was Alma wasn't it? Hadn't thought about it. Of course, thinking of her as other than Rookie Latina Chick might have helped. But, yeah, I'm referring to Alma Garrett, who might have actually made the better reporter, actually.

aka "The artist formerly known as Corwood Industries."

I'm referring to Alma Garrett

I heard the nurse call for an "Alma Garrity" in the doctor's office the other day and had a crossed wire mental image of Molly Parker swooning beside a football field in Dillon, TX.

What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

Episode 2! And, ooh, it's the very next day. I do enjoy my serial dramas.

Al Swearengen is...a very bad man.

He's a complicated man

no one understands him but his...hookers?

Ok, that worked better for Shaft. My bad. But it's still true.

You don't know the half of it. But erika's right too. Pretty amazing, that. One of the most compelling major characters I've ever seen in a serialized TV drama.

'Course, there are very few uncomplicated people in Deadwood, Hoopleheads aside.
