Maybe they haven't used up their entire catlog of songs this go around.
Alan Sepinwall reported that they said they've used 90% or 98% of their back catalogue. They wrote some songs for this season, though. And I have hope-- they can easily use fewer songs and the songs will be more organic to the episode.

But but but...the gratuitous songs are my favorites!
I love the songs, but you know, I can get them on their albums. What I can't get on the albums is the brilliance of the show itself. Which it is. Fucking brilliant. !!! Love the show!
Well, *that* just convinced me to get my hands on it.

It really is quite an awsome show. But I think the gratuitous musical numbers are THE reason the show is brilliant.
Oh, Conchords, what will I do when you are gone? Tonight's episode made me cry with laughter.
AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAArgh.
This thread is KILLING me. I can't ahem anything for a long while (got a nasty letter from Universal to my cable company to my), and I can't afford HBO. And I was a FotC (band, not show) fan before any of you guys!!
Life = unfair.
I just finished re-watching S2 of The Wire last night. This was the third time through, and I'm still finding new things in it. Wow.
Big Love: Barb needs to leave. Also she just proved her mother right by having a big fight with the other wives outside. Poor Sarah.
