I visited Austin last summer with S, but it was a very busy weekend, most of it spent at S's Shakespeare at Winedale reunion, so there was no chance of getting a visit in, but I thought about you while there, and vowed to come back some other time when I could make that meeting happen.

Sometimes I still get the street folks confused, though I'd hesitate to post that anywhere but here, lest I look like one of those "Eek! Negroes!" channel-changers Simon bitches about. But y'all know it's not really about that, right? Not consciously anyway. Not many of 'em use their real names and shit. Which is frustrating because irl the most common street name, per Simon and Burns, is "Black". Old school po-lice used to know East Side Black and West Side Black, but it's a different game now.
