Yep.
ETA: Never mind. I reread the piece and answered my own question.
'Out Of Gas'

This is NOT a general TV discussion thread.
Yep.

Well crap. Yet another version of the "This Show Rocks, But Is Cancelled Without Any Resolution" blues.
Man, I hate that tune.
Serial to add:
After the pilot, I was desperately worried that The Riches would go that route, and it was a huge relief when that show was picked up for a second season.
But now, with the impending strikes, I'm worried that, if they haven't started filming and put a lot of the new season into the can, we won't get any new Riches for a while. Or get part of a season, and then a nice long wait.
Huh. See, I found JfC to be fairly well-resolved in the finale, and was curious as to what the Hell they would do in a second season.
Not that I can summarize what the Hell I think happened, really. Except that, clearly, John is one of the 4400.
Well, shoot.
I caught up on Entourage, and I'm so proud of E! Finally getting stuff going for him. Vince's little confused/upset face was adorable.
Caught the first four episodes of Weeds--man, shit's going down.
Except that, clearly, John is one of the 4400.
Seriously, if John's an "Alien" or "Divine Guide", ok, but that doesn't explain drug dealers from Hawaii talking in cryptic Shakespearean speeches, no matter how much entertaining comic banter they engage in with their flunky.
It made sense in Deadwood as a way of bridging the past and present manner of speaking; on JfC, it just sounded like pretentious gibberish, no matter how much I like the actors involved.
Plus, the actor playing Shaun may have been needed for versimilitude for the surfing, but he is a GODAWFUL thespian. And I can't forgive Milch for giving Rebecca DeMornay only one note to play and it being an annoying one at that (though I do have to say that I LOVED her rebuttal to the mouthbreather talking shit to Shaun's mom during the parade - wish we could have seen a little more of that Cissy earlier).
I'm sad we won't get to see more of Cissy since she got so interesting the last couple of episodes. I liked her as supreme ball-buster matriarch but I love her as the woman so afraid of not maintaining control of herself that she has to simultaneously push everyone around her away yet keep them close enough for her to try to control them, too, because every one of their mistakes are hers.
I don't know what a better actor would have done with Shaun's role. The stylized dialog didn't bother me, though I did sometimes just tune it out.
I like the direction Entourage is going with Eric.
I don't know what a better actor would have done with Shaun's role.
Not sounding like he was reading (slowly) off of cue-cards would have been a big help.
