Can't any one of your damn little Scooby club at least try to remember that I hate you all?

A topic for the discussion of Farscape, Smallville, and Due South. Beware possible invasions of Stargate, Highlander, or pretty much any other "genre" show that captures our fancy. Expect Adult Content and discussion of the Big Gay Sex.

Whitefont all unaired in the U.S. ep discussion, identifying it as such, and including the show and ep title in blackfont.

Blackfont is allowed after the show has aired on the east coast.

This is NOT a general TV discussion thread.

"Cry havoc and let slip the boobs of war!" -- Miracleman

However, I still didn't come away feeling that I understood why Harry is so despised by the other wizards, who at least in the person of Ancient Mai seem at least ethics-neutral.

I actually thought that the conversation between Harry and the girl warden was very informative. The fact that there's a file on Harry that clearly has a bias made me understand why he was so hated. In the White Council's mind, he killed a warden with black magic, two big no no's. Of course, the fact that he knew black magic and had the necessary accoutrements "suggests" that his teacher the warden knew black magic, so they shouldn't be but so upset. But then, that's probably why Harry's still alive. In the books, it's clear that some people on the council believe him and some don't, and I guess the people that didn't wrote the report.

I also thought that there was good work with Morgan. Some of his issues with Harry stem from disappointment it seems, like when he says that once he would have taught Harry the trick with the eyes. Morgan's comments about the Morningways were interesting as well. Seems like Harry was behind the 8 Ball a little bit with Morgan just based on his family.

DF: Yes, he would have had to prove himself good even if he hadn't killed his uncle with black magic.

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

Clearly, Harry should have been sent away to Hogwarts as a teenager.

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

Why don't you think that next week's show was intended to be the season ender?

I thought Robert Hewitt had said that What About Bob? was supposed to be the season ender. For a while it was listed that way on the SciFi Channel episode listing.

Vortex, where was it said that Justin was a Warden? I don't recall that.

DF: It was said in the "What About Bob?" episode that Justin was either a Warden or a member of the High Council. (Can't recall which.)

DF: I think he was a member of the High Council.

They really don't seem to like the Morningways; I'd be real surprised if they made one a Warden.

The bad guys always get the coolest names.

He was a member of the High Council. I thought that all of the members of the HC were wardens? Or am I craxy? (which is not just possible, but probable)

Art Crawl!!!

DF: Is it a matter of rank? I mean, you start off as a Warden and then they choose HC members from amongs the pool of Wardens?

"I remember when they eventually introduced that drug kingpin who murdered people and smuggled drugs inside snakes and I was like 'Finally. A normal person.'” —RahvinDragand

My impression (backed up by having read no more than 3 pages of the books so far) is that it's the other way around: the High Council seem to be the movers and shakers (however they attained that position) who appoint the Wardens to enforce their policies.

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

DF: I think Matt's right, having read three of the books. The Wardens are the police/enforcer arm of the Hi-C.

I think a Warden might become a Hi-C member, but (not so sure of this) a member of the Hi-C may or may not ever have been a Warden. Basing that last mostly on not being able to believe that Justin Morningway could ever have passed the vetting process to become a Warden.
