Yes, it's terribly simple. The good guys are always stalwart and true, the bad guys are easily distinguished by their pointy horns or black hats, and, uh, we always defeat them and save the day. No one ever dies, and everybody lives happily ever after.

Boxed Set, Vol. III: "That Can't Be Good..."

A topic for the discussion of Farscape, Smallville, and Due South. Beware possible invasions of Stargate, Highlander, or pretty much any other "genre" show that captures our fancy. Expect Adult Content and discussion of the Big Gay Sex.

Whitefont all unaired in the U.S. ep discussion, identifying it as such, and including the show and ep title in blackfont.

Blackfont is allowed after the show has aired on the east coast.

This is NOT a general TV discussion thread.

DW (yes, I have developed a sudden weekly cough): I miss my Rose! I'm not ready to love the new companion yet, but I'm guessing I'll like her. She'll be interesting with her terribly close family dynamic.

I thought DT showed some depth I hadn't yet seen. I hope that hangs in.

Totally agree with all the HHGttG stuff, and as I love that with a fiery passion, it's all welcome. It feels like seeing Serenity on BSG.

Anyway, it does look like a good season, and I'm in.

When you're racing - it's life. Anything that comes before or after is just waiting.

Finally popping back in after a 4 month hiatus (whether or not I am remembered is a whole other story) and having to catch up from that disappearance, to say that the Paul Blackthorne Part 2 Q&A is up at SciFi. Juliebird gets her question answered too.

Wow. I wonder how much they'll have to edit Torchwood for American TV. I'm guessing a lot.

"Faded like the lilac, he thought."

Ooops. There goes my internal rationalization for why it was okay to ahem Torchwood. Please don't ask me about my internal rationalization for why it was okay to ahem Dr. Who. Something about a slippery slope and how I really, really wanted to.

Aww, I'll miss Keeping Up Appearances, though. Now they need a BBCAmerica Classic!

Does BBC-A edit for content, or for time (or both)? I've never watched it regularly enough to judge.

Art Crawl!!!

But, airing in the US means region 1 dvds with all the stuff from the UK airing back in. (And I'm hoping for On Demand availability with the same.)

I honestly don't know. British TV has to be edited for time so that they can squish all the commercials in. I'm now tempted to watch Torchwood on BBCA and compare them to the uncut versions, just to see what's missing.

"I'm useless alone." // "We're all useless alone. It's a good thing you're not alone."

They'll probably have to edit out the few uses of "fuck", I'd guess. I say this, having never seen BBCA except for a few times at my parents' house. (I want BBCA! I love the British!)

S to the A -- using they/them pronouns!

You say that until your roommate watches endless hours of The Bill and Neighbours.

I suspect they'll have to edit out at least 15 minutes of material for each episode. Which is really quite a lot.
