Bev is wise, on both counts.

Boxed Set, Vol. III: "That Can't Be Good..."
A topic for the discussion of Farscape, Smallville, and Due South. Beware possible invasions of Stargate, Highlander, or pretty much any other "genre" show that captures our fancy. Expect Adult Content and discussion of the Big Gay Sex.
Whitefont all unaired in the U.S. ep discussion, identifying it as such, and including the show and ep title in blackfont.
Blackfont is allowed after the show has aired on the east coast.
This is NOT a general TV discussion thread.
SO much nicer than Heart.
I mean, I have come to realize there are meta reasons for how that scene was shot. But--R666 sex was so Pretty! Heart sex was too many cuts, not enough linger. For my taste, anyway.
Moving it up an hour is fine with me.
It might be hard for me to do the run, but I have absolutely no problem playing catch up as needed, and I like the idea of doing all 4 in close proximity.
Rt. 666 is one of those scenes where I think, "Really? You're showing that? You do know exactly what they're doing there, right? I mean... um. You can show that? If you can show that, can't we just see them actually doing it?"
I think an hour earlier is better. I approve. Because I love having east coasters around.
Does everybody have IMToD?I don't, but I would still read the w&p.
Also--I would love to do a run of Dead Man's Blood, Salvation, Devil's Trap and In My Time of Dying.Excellent set, by the way.
I am pretty much open (have young boy here this week but I think he can handle most of this.) on schedule and heartily endorse more SPN w&P. My name is Cass, and I fannishly endorse this message.

What meta reasons?
"Really? You're showing that? You do know exactly what they're doing there, right? I mean... um. You can show that? If you can show that, can't we just see them actually doing it?"Like when Wesley went down on Lilah? Ah, good times.
Madison was fracturing as a personality, being pulled at by different forces from her old life and her new life. She was a mirror for how Sam sees himself possibly becoming. So rather than have a slow build, and a steadicam pan, there were lots of cuts and fast fades, odd angles, interspersed with some soft-focus teasers of what one expects a love scene to be, then cut again, abruptly. There wasn't any cohesion, no through-line, no build to resolution. It was all a jumble, and not so much a connection as sort of bumping into each other at points and moments.
Also, rather than the softer romantic lighting, this was white sheets , white walls, stark and colorless.
Not that JP isn't a damn pretty sight, my ghod, that man has put time in the gym to good use! But the style of the scene just wouldn't let you settle and enjoy--or even recognise what was happening, before another cut, another fast fade. It may not have been Manners the director's intent when he filmed it, but I think it was a deliberate choice to tie into the emotional tone of the ep.
I'm sorry for the error, Charles Beeson directed this ep, according to IMDb.
Ah, for some reason I thought you meant meta as not show driven, but forces outside of the show driven.
It's clearly time for me to go to sleep.
Something Wicked?Technically we are at Hell House except I dragged Lee and then Bev to watch it with me over the weekend, but it was just me being "SPN, shiny!". So, basically, I am happily game to see it again or game to go to Something Wicked.
