A topic for the discussion of Farscape, Smallville, and Due South. Beware possible invasions of Stargate, Highlander, or pretty much any other "genre" show that captures our fancy. Expect Adult Content and discussion of the Big Gay Sex.
Whitefont all unaired in the U.S. ep discussion, identifying it as such, and including the show and ep title in blackfont.
Blackfont is allowed after the show has aired on the east coast.
This is NOT a general TV discussion thread.
You know what I love about this thread? Getting confused when toast comes up (and it does) in various contexts. What happens if someone converts someone to a BSG fan on the basis of loving the Cylons? Do they get a toaster toaster?
Liese, that's exactly where my head went when I read Cass's reaction to P-C's purchase. And I'd had plenty of coffee.
Aside from the fact that I really couldn't wait for SGA to return in April, I'm so glad I downloaded the episodes, because GIANT IDIOTS in the fandom will not stop posting spoilers. I'm about ready to nuke them from orbit.
Speaking of giant idiots in the fandom, did you see this? [link]
Hee. Well, I've had my coffee now, and it's still amusing me, so I guess I've no excuses.
Heh, Matt, I don't think they're as idiotic as all that.
I'm about ready to nuke them from orbit.
You know John and Rodney would approve of this plan.
Yeah, those were my giant idiots. They've edited the spoilery post on sga-noticeboard, and I fully admit that my extreme reaction has a lot to do with the bad mood I was already in.
But honestly, it needs to be April now, because I'm so very tired of posts that contain the phrase "As everyone in the fandom knows..."
Fandom is not actually a hive mind. I know we all make the jokes, but knowledge is not universal. And in fact, there are people who go out of their way to avoid hearing those -- oh, what do you call them, those plot points that haven't aired yet -- SPOILERS. So posting them to giant, heavily trafficked LJ communities does not make you my friend.
Rrraaar. Polyamorous Rex growls at you and goes back to cleaning the bathroom.
The bring back Grodin people remind me of the save Ford/save our show petition people, where the show wasn't in danger of being cancelled but they were alarmed and upset by the change in tone and how SGA was become more military and that went against the spirit of the show.

Askye, did you get an email from me the other day? Gmail was being weird, so I wanted to make sure.

Heh. A bigtime-Peter-Grodin-fan friend of mine
just happened
to be in Vancouver recently. This has her style of humour written all over it....

Lee - I did and I thought I'd sent the email, somehow it ended up a draft so it's now backflung.
