Managed to catch Eureka last night and really enjoyed it. I think my favorite moment was when Henry introduces Carter at the town meeting, and the picture on the screen moves to a shot of him looking down at the screen. It was a funny moment that showed Carter still getting used to the way things work in Eureka, but being good-natured and game about figuring it all out, which is something I really like about the character. Also, that Colin Ferguson guy is pretty cute (and not in the least generic).
Boxed Set, Vol. III: "That Can't Be Good..."
A topic for the discussion of Farscape, Smallville, and Due South. Beware possible invasions of Stargate, Highlander, or pretty much any other "genre" show that captures our fancy. Expect Adult Content and discussion of the Big Gay Sex.
Whitefont all unaired in the U.S. ep discussion, identifying it as such, and including the show and ep title in blackfont.

(ita - is Steve Bacic in Blade? Or is there a character named Bacic in Blade? )
Did you guys watch the Emmy AFter Party interview with Jamie Bamber. If so you may have noticed the odd reaction of Bamber's to Michael Ausiello asking after his wife. Well, somebody asked him about it at "Ask Ausiello":
Question: Saw your interview with Jamie Bamber at the TV Guide After Party. So, what is your deal with his wife? He seemed a little concerned. — Chris
Ausiello: A little concerned? He looked like he was about to clock me! A little backstory: When the Museum of Television and Radio honored Battlestar Gallactica in New York last spring, I met his wife, actress-singer Kerry Norton, at the post-reception and the two of us started talking and really hit it off. We were just having a fun, silly time. Totally innocent. So, naturally, when I saw Jamie at the Emmy bash, I asked him if Kerry was with him, and he informed me that she wasn't. No big deal, right? Well, when I brought her name up again -- this time at the end of our interview -- he clearly was not pleased. It was unbelievably uncomfortable. Short-story-shorter: In my effort to break the ice with Jamie Bamber on the red carpet, I think I unwittingly got myself entangled in a love triangle with him and his wife! Someone call Page Six!

Ooh, ooh, I was there! In that very conversation!
Steve Bacic, sumi. I totally forget the character's name.
I just remembered.
We occasionally improvise out the end of the scenes because we know they can always cut it out and we find it pretty entertaining - just in a way to brighten the workday. Those ending are rarely used or necessary but on this episode, we were SO short that they used most of it just to help for time.
I remember the first cut of this I saw way back when, the baseball sequence was SO long because, for some reason, that's where all the extra footage was. So they went back in and lengthened a lot of moments to weight the arc properly. I think that's why a lot of stuff that is usually throw-away got in.
Hats off to Andy and Jamie - especially - on this one.
I loved that "generic" interaction. I think it would have been less noticable from different angles, but the profiles did look an awful lot alike.
The "generic" thing was a great character moment, and I'm so glad the director went with it. That's the kind of thing that really makes me fall in loooooove with characters.

OK, clearly the Cubs are going to follow in the Red Sox's footsteps this year if the world is suddenly a place where Jamie Bamber can be insecure about his wife hitting it off with Michael Ausiello...
