A topic for the discussion of Farscape, Smallville, and Due South. Beware possible invasions of Stargate, Highlander, or pretty much any other "genre" show that captures our fancy. Expect Adult Content and discussion of the Big Gay Sex.
Whitefont all unaired in the U.S. ep discussion, identifying it as such, and including the show and ep title in blackfont.
Blackfont is allowed after the show has aired on the east coast.
This is NOT a general TV discussion thread.
I'm talking as someone who ADORED S1 and know S2 is awesome, but I am so behind in my media, it's not even funny
Moi aussi. I mean, about Life On Mars--I kept replacing the content of my clipboard as I caught up in thread, and get this far to discover I have no context.
I shoulda mearaed.
As for BSG, I was spoiled and let down. I thought too much of it was stupid. I loved Lee's speech and am aghast he got to deliver it. Which undercut the drama, but not the point.
I thought it'd be cool for those four to be Cylons, with ripples of ramifications and all that, but the actual execution made me eyerolly. The choreography of them in that room quite especially, but the leap to "We're all Cylons" felt unearned and ass-grabby, but I'm willing to buy it as the panic of some freaked out people. To give the writing the benefit of the doubt.
And the lyrics felt terribly cheesy, because they all looked like they were reciting. I do not know the lyrics to the song, but I could easily tell when they were saying them.
Okay, so I finally watched that ep of Supernatural from last week with the werewolf. Glad I knew about Sam's power, otherwise that would have been very confusing. It was really good, I liked the interaction between the brothers. Story was good, nice twist.
Now, if it only didn't go up against two other shows I already like. summer, I suppose.
Just rewatched "Crossroads, Part 2" and was Keegan Connor Tracy (previously of Jake 2.0 among others) the woman who brought her child's picture to Baltar to bless, the one who was sitting behind him (you could see her over his shoulder) when the verdict was read and the leader of the group of acolytes who came and got him in the chaos at the end?
Yep, sumi. I recognized her in her first scene, so I knew she would end up playing an important role, since you don't cast Keegan Connor Tracy for a bit part. She's got A Name! Three, in fact.
I finally bought the SPN DVDs. I say this for the benefit of those who would rejoice at such an event.
And it was Patrick Currie who played Enzo in the Passage playing Madison's ex in "Heart."
And the guy playing "Glenn" is also "Hoshi" on BSG. (But I didn't recognize him. I just found him at tv.com.)
I say this for the benefit of those who would rejoice at such an event.
Toaster! (Not for me, but still every time a SPN toaster is created, I smile.)
Me and Supernatural are not unlike Xander and linoleum.
Keegan Connor Tracy (previously of Jake 2.0 among others)
Hey! It's the Dead Wife Karen Giles from The Usual Suspects (SPN)!
Or,
Me and Supernatural are not unlike Xander and linoleum.
What Cass Said.
TOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOAST!
Me and Supernatural are not unlike Xander and linoleum.
You look at it and want to have sex? That doesn't make any...oh. I see.
TOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOAST!
and Kool Aid.
eta: I have a sudden desire to watch Tall Tales again, but fear it just wouldn't be the same.
Maybe Smile Time, instead.
