Boxed Set, Vol. III: "That Can't Be Good..."

A topic for the discussion of Farscape, Smallville, and Due South. Beware possible invasions of Stargate, Highlander, or pretty much any other "genre" show that captures our fancy. Expect Adult Content and discussion of the Big Gay Sex.

Whitefont all unaired in the U.S. ep discussion, identifying it as such, and including the show and ep title in blackfont.

Blackfont is allowed after the show has aired on the east coast.

This is NOT a general TV discussion thread.

(x-posted from When Come Back Bring Tape ...)

Um, er, can anyone help me get my mitts on the episodes of Eureka? Y'see, we don't have cable, but after reading through Boxed Set, it sounds like I very much need to see Eureka (as does the Devilbunny. I think he'll want to move there).

Jilli, they're rerunning the first 5 episodes this weekend, I think (but not the pilot. If you can't crash the home of a person with scifi, I can burn you a DVD.

If you could burn me a DVD, I would be hugely in your debt.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Jilli, check the Sci Fi channel and see if the pilot's still up--it used to be.

Art Crawl!!!

Hey, at the end of this week's Life on Mars they promoed the On Demand version as having "bonus scenes". I imagine that means it's the uncut British version On Demand. I wonder if that means that the other episodes are also the British edit.

And speaking of On Demand. . . that BSG thing was supposed to appear On Demand today -- was that on Comcast or just at the website or where?

ETA: I found it. It was in something called Cutting Edge and BSG is the only thing from SciFi. (It's got the special plus "Pegasus".

More BSG:

Webisodes will start Sept. 5, and be posted every Tues. and Thurs. until the season premiere. The webisodes will be scenes leading up to what happens in the premiere.

Found on TWOP.

Okay, Scifi Wire has an interview with Ron Moore:

Moore added that the upcoming season 2.5 DVD set will include a special 90-minute version of the episode "Pegasus," which ran only 60 minutes in the original broadcast. In addition, fresh material in the form of specially filmed "webisodes," Battlestar Galactica: The Resistance, will air on SCIFI.COM's SCI FI Pulse broadband network twice weekly, starting Sept. 5. The two- or three-minute shorts will serve as a lead-in to the new season and, although not essential to the plot, will enhance the viewing experience.

There is something spoilery in the first paragraph of that article.
