Boxed Set, Vol. III: "That Can't Be Good..."

A topic for the discussion of Farscape, Smallville, and Due South. Beware possible invasions of Stargate, Highlander, or pretty much any other "genre" show that captures our fancy. Expect Adult Content and discussion of the Big Gay Sex.

Whitefont all unaired in the U.S. ep discussion, identifying it as such, and including the show and ep title in blackfont.

Blackfont is allowed after the show has aired on the east coast.

This is NOT a general TV discussion thread.

"I remember when they eventually introduced that drug kingpin who murdered people and smuggled drugs inside snakes and I was like 'Finally. A normal person.'” —RahvinDragand

Not that it came back wrong--just that it came back at all.

Well, really, how much wronger could it be than it already was before the network merge?

Art Crawl!!!

Omar's Smallville recaplet - so much better than watching that mess.

"We are the Goon Squad and we're coming to town...Beep! Beep!" - David Bowie, "Fashion"

I hope Medium doesn't get cancelled.

I've heard CBS wants to pick it up if NBC drops it.

"Faded like the lilac, he thought."

Did you see any people suspiciously lacking proper internal organ alignment, juliana?

Hee. I had it going through my head all day. It has so much other luggage with it that I kept having to remember why it was in my head and why it was creeping me out.

I’d be lying if I didn’t say that I miss them all tonight…

Did you see any people suspiciously lacking proper internal organ alignment, juliana?

No, but this is San Francisco. Unless they were wearing a Lakers or Dodgers shirt whilst misaligning their internal organs, I might not notice anything out of the ordinary.

In the interest of furthering my completist tendencies, I bought The Animals' version of "House Of The Rising Sun". Now I'm trying to decide if I need a second version, and if so, whose? Waylon's? David Allan Coe's? Nina Simone's? I love all three artists, but 4 versions just seems like overkill.

(I also bought Flogging Molly, but that's not Supernatural related. Black Donnellys, perhaps.)

Love is stronger than death and harder than sorrow. Those who practice it are fierce like the light of stars traveling eons to pierce the night.

Juliana, if it were my collection, I would need the Nina Simone version, as it seems to be in the, as I understand it, historically correct gender.

Ok, so I gotta ask - I'm not a reader of the Dresden books, and while I have not hated the show, I'm not sure I'm loving it enough to keep watching - is the tone of the show right? May I expect the quirky humor to grow, or is it always going to feel like a hard-boiled detective show Now, with Added Magick?

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

I think the quirky humor will continue to grow. The writers have had to do some of the jostling around that we are all so familiar with, as the network decided not to show the pilot until mid-season and are even still changing the order of the episodes.

I have read the first three Dresden books, and while I liked them and will eventually read the rest, I like the show much better (with the caveat that I saw the show first.)

Art Crawl!!!

There are a couple of "director's cuts" up for Supernatural at the CW website.

I'm going to try to see them again, but I fear I won't be able to see them 'til Monday.

Thanks for the encouragement, Zenkitty.

I dunno what's wrong with me, but I can't bring myself to read SG1 Jack/Sam smut. Love the idea of the ship, just don't want details, I guess.

Days shrink and grow cold, sunlight through leaves is my song. Winter is long.

Oh, I cannot *wait* for SPN Thursday! Rock, paper, scissors!
