Goodness, Eddie Almos/Adama can really break my heart. And so can Anders.

Heh. I love Tigh's tribute. He misses her yakking. Aw.

Wuh-oh.

I am the fly who dreams of the spider

Can we get more shots of Harry walking down the alley with his hands in his pockets? Please?

Good ep. Couple of good funny moments, Bob standing in Harry's body and wigging him out was good fun.

Even better: lots of great and interesting character moments. Bob feeling trapped yet resigned, reflecting on Justin "he had his moments", Harry having lots of moments where his past flavors the present: his father's death (murder! --in the books it's only lately begun to hint that it wasn't a natural passing), several hints of Harry being tempted by black magic (this seems different from the books, I wonder if this is part of Justin's murder, or some other incident, hmmm...), some knife-edged honesty with Harry explaining to Bob just how he'd destroy him (that was kind of a scary scene with all those smiles. I liked it.) following up the "sweet" scene where Harry comforts Bob with "if I didn't find you useful I'd have chucked your skull before now". Murphy showing more distress over being lied to, this is *really* a big hang-up for her, and this ep it really shows a small moment of how deep an issue this is for her, which I liked. Murphy again showing how she feels like she needs to protect Harry (wanting to be the one to take the heat of accusing politically powerful people's children). Kirmani showing more of his distrust of Harry (I just love Kirmani to bits).

I'm also still ridiculously in love with PB's rendition of a Chicago accent. Even if he does do the Sean Connery "shh" a lot --no, wait, love that, too.

Some of the narration was repetitive or anvilicious. More book goodness with mentions of Harry not coexisting well with technology (still more of a "tell" with a token "show", but at least it's there and officially acknowledged --whatever the form).

In other news: Badgerses! (Does Mark Sheppard do that accent in every role he's cast in?!)

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

Mark Sheppard? Where?

badgerbadgerbadger

Julie, yeah, the smiles in the how-I'd-destroy-you scene were scary. And Justin had the key to Bob's freedom! And now it's gone? What happened to it? I love how they're building the Bob storyline in the background of the A-plot stories. Did you notice all the camera angles looking up past Bob's skull? I'm hoping Bob gets to kick somebody's ass before the season's over.

Also, new wizard! And didja notice Harry's mention of where was Morgan when Harry's dad was killed - Morgan is much much older than he looks.

Just keeps getting better.

Oh! And "the little red light on your machine thingy is blinking!" "Whoa!" "Get away from it!" Ha.

On BSG, Zen. And he's looking mighty, mighty fine, may I say.

Oh, okay. I thought I'd somehow missed him in TDF, lost in the haze of my Bob-love and Harry-lust. Hard to see past that stuff, you know.

Oh, snap.

Tough, he has a point.

(That was to Adama, not Zen)

Zenkitty, I'm taping BSG, so only saw the Badgerses in the promo.

Ooh, yes, Justin "had" the key to Bob's freedom, but, dun Dun DUN! Justin idn't dead! Danger, Harry Dresden, Danger!

The answering machine bit was cute "That thing works?!"

I did notice the angles with Bob's skull, he's missing some teeth (Terry also slipped into his normal accent for a line, hee!).

Do we know *when* Harry's dad was killed? In the books it was when he was young, and in the show Harry says his dad raised him, so I took that to mean that ?Colm? Dresden was alive for much more of Harry's childhood than in the books. We don't know yet how long Harry was under his uncle's tutelage, right? I wonder if they're still doing the "wizards live a long time and age slower than normal humans" for the show. I would guess that they are.
