Okay, Vonnie, you're allowed to get BSG if you also get the two episodes of The Office. I suppose we'll need to do something at night.
Boxed Set, Vol. III: "That Can't Be Good..."
A topic for the discussion of Farscape, Smallville, and Due South. Beware possible invasions of Stargate, Highlander, or pretty much any other "genre" show that captures our fancy. Expect Adult Content and discussion of the Big Gay Sex.
Whitefont all unaired in the U.S. ep discussion, identifying it as such, and including the show and ep title in blackfont.
Blackfont is allowed after the show has aired on the east coast.
This is NOT a general TV discussion thread.
You could stretch it and say Alan played evil in I, Robot. Kinda. Sortof.
I should add that it's in SF Shows I Watch....
I can easily picture Sean Maher playing an evil character. He was on...? CSI I think, playing a bad-boy villain, and he was really good. Also the first look at Simon in Serenity the Pilot with the red glasses and that reptilian goes-through-you stare.
I'd like to see Jewel playing really evil, not forced-to-be-evil like her sad little Wraith character.
Watch "Lying Pig" and "Cocktail Bunny."
ooo, yes. Forgot about those. I have the DVDs but I lent them out before I even watched them and I haven't gotten them back yet. Hm. Must call out the dogs.
So I do have something of a weekness for bad SciFi movies. And tonight they're showing "Dragon Sword", which looks like cheesy fun.
The cast they list includes James Purefoy, Michael Scott Duncan, Patrick Swayze, Simon Callow, and Joan Plowright (!).
So I'm about 15 minutes in, and the dialog is awful and the writing makes no sense, but it's cheesy fun. And now Michael Scott Duncan (Tarik) meets up with a famous mercenary leader--and it's Val Fucking Kilmer.
WTF? He's not even in the credits!
Val Kilmer!
t giggles hysterically

Best Dramatic Presentation, Short Form: Doctor Who: "The Empty Child" and "The Doctor Dances"
Consuela -- Oh my god, you're right! I thought I recognized him! I'm guessing this movie was supposed to have been a pilot, otherwise they wouldn't have come so close to having an actual cast of recognizable performers.
Purefoy kept looking entirely too much like Hugh Jackman... which isn't a bad thing.
Unlike most SciFi Channel originals, it was at least watchable, and the plot at least attempted to be original, as though it was a story I'd have written when I was 14, so I ended up watching it all the way through.
I recorded Dragon Sword to watch later based on one small ad I saw for it. (It's the one where someone says, "You're the only on in England wearing dragon skin boots" right?) So I'm hoping it is at least enjoyable, if only for the cast.
