You may say "Whoa". I'm glad it's worth a Whoa!
Juliebird, the things that bugged me this episode were, Harry got taken too easy, as I mentioned before, and he wasn't paying enough attention to what Bob was trying to tell him earlier in the episode. Bob was freaking ouot, and Harry was just, "Whatchoo talkin' 'bout, Bob?"
Also, yeah, I was just a tad disappointed that Bob's big secret was that he brought his dead love back to life. I was hoping he'd turn out to be a virgin-sacrificing unrepentant sorcerer. But this makes him more sympathetic, anyway. I guess we're supposed to infer that the spell Sharon was using was the same one Bob invented to bring Winifred back, so it's a little bit his fault. The Council didn't do a very good job of cleaning up Bob's mess way back when, did they? They left his grimoires and everything.
But re Winifred, I appreciate that the writers are using names appropriate to the era: Hrothbert and Winifred, instead of naming the lady, oh, Debra or Sharon. Interesting that Winnie was a sorceress. Wonder if they had some kind of pact, whoever goes first, the other resurrects?
Makes one wonder about Bob's insistence in RoE that love is a myth - though by the end of that ep, it was obvious he didn't really believe it.
I may have some thoughts about the episode later...
Did... that just happen?
ETA: Where is everyone? I feel so alone in my, "Whuh?" Well, clearly this is not the end of that story. I mean, right? So random.
Well, anyway, interesting episode. Weird. I'm glad to say that I finally liked a scene between Kara and Lee again... the "I guess that's all we'll ever be now," scene. Nicely written and performed. And Kara broke my heart a little in the scenes where she was an observer of her past. She (the actress) was fantastic in those.
Damn.
I'm just so tense and . . .
damn.
So, I think it happened.
(For my guess about Bob and his story line check out the titles for upcoming episodes at epguides . . . I have a feeling we don't know the complete story there.
Well, duh. Clearly Starbuck isn't dead, what with the anvillacious foreshadowing about her destiny and unresolved dealio about the symbol on her wall, and "they are waiting for me" (hmm, is she one of The Five?). I imagine she'll resurface in a "ta-rah!" fashion some time in season finale.
Sackhoff was very good in this ep, even though I felt the abusive-mother storyline was too Lifetime Movie of the Week.
Am I completely skeevy for finding that opening dream sequence with the white paint and Leoben really, really hot? Because... DAMN. And if that wasn't supposed to be Leoben (whuh?) then who was it?
Oh, yeah -- that opening scene was hot.
Was it a Leoben-shaped spirit guide?
Did she have her hand on the ejection lever thing?
Was it a Leoben-shaped spirit guide?
Wish my spirit guide was shaped like that. (Not that I've ever seen my spirit guide. Or even have one. But if I did...)
Yeah, no, the opening scene was hot, though I did feel a little creepy for finding it such.
Wish my spirit guide was shaped like that.
Haha. Totally what I was going to say.
I think the creepiness kinda... added to the hotness. (Don't judge me! Blame CKR for being so friggin' sexy!) I did get a laugh out of Hotdog leering at Kara from the top bunker with "you SO did have a sex dream! You did!" smirk.
Yeah, that was pretty funny.
(Don't judge me! Blame CKR for being so friggin' sexy!)
Judge? Ha! My glass house and I wouldn't dare.
Darn it, I can't get the bonus preview for next week to load.
