Clare survived the fire, but she didn't know she had the magic healing until she was in her teens.
Do we have anything that points to the fact that Claire was actually in the fiery building when it went up? Could someone have snitched her out of the building, allowing the mom to think she had been killed to function as a cover? They could know that biomom has powers and want to study Claire.
I think so. Partial symbol on Ted and Matt, symbol on sword (was that on the replica or on a picture of the actual sword, I forget? I remember seeing it and going "Oooooh", but that's about all), symbol on Jessica, symbol necklace on the Haitian (I hope we learn a name for him soon, calling him the Haitian is kind of icky)...I don't remember the association with paintings.
Put it all together and I have no idea what it means.
Matt keeps saying that his powers didn\'t manifest until after he was abducted, but we saw him hearing thoughts before that. Didn\'t we?
Correct. Like Wireless said in the last episode, the neck marks are where they were injected with some sort of isotope that allows them to be tracked. HRG was also adamant that they did not get their powers as a result of the abduction.

Wasn\'t there a flashback this past week that specifically showed Claire in the fiery building?
At one point, it was theorized that it was associated with the "bad" Supers, right? I don't know if that holds any water anymore, though.

I don't remember the exact wording of the dialog, but in the flashback where Mr. Bennet was given Clare, the agents who brought her said they got to the fire "too late" and the mom was presumably dead, implying that they found Baby Clare amidst the ashes or something. If someone else wanted to get her away from her mom and snatched her out before the fire, it seems odd that they would then leave her with Bennett.
The symbol was on future!Hiro's sword, so it's safe to say it's on the real sword, and not just the replica and the pictures.
Ted and Matt only have partial symbols so much as they have two parallel lines from the needles. And considering Jessica's tattoo is a tattoo and not scarring, and in a different place, I'm thinking it's unrelated to the injection scars.
In the second episode, there were items in the pool outside the house where Matt found the little girl that created the symbol. We've also seen it on Dr. Suresh's book (I think) and on the screen of his Hero-detection program.

Yes -- the reason he and Radiactive think their powers are a result of the abduction is because their memories of using powers before that were wiped.

There was part of the previouslies from where teenage Claire went through the fiery trainwreck in the pilot. I don't recall any flashback images of baby!Claire in a burning building, though.
