No studying? Damn! Next thing they'll tell me is I'll have to eat jelly doughnuts or sleep with a supermodel to get things done around here. I ask you, how much can one man give?

Boxed Set, Vol. III: "That Can't Be Good..."

A topic for the discussion of Farscape, Smallville, and Due South. Beware possible invasions of Stargate, Highlander, or pretty much any other "genre" show that captures our fancy. Expect Adult Content and discussion of the Big Gay Sex.

Whitefont all unaired in the U.S. ep discussion, identifying it as such, and including the show and ep title in blackfont.

Blackfont is allowed after the show has aired on the east coast.

This is NOT a general TV discussion thread.

To understand what happened at the diner, we shall use Mr. Papaya! This is upsetting because he's the friendliest of fruits.

Thanks Matt. I think I have a AVI-fairy at hand for the run.

It's good to be a geek with friends.

That's the pain / That cuts a straight line down through the heart / We call it love

The commentary with JP and JA was cute. . . and uninformative.

Ha, that was one of the more ridiculous commentaries I've ever watched (er, heard?). "Uh, there was something funny about when we were shooting this scene. Remember? Something weird? What was it? Do you remember? I can't remember..." "Um, I think it was really noisy." "Yeah, it was really loud on the street!" Oh, boys.

edit: I meant to add, I've really enjoyed watching the commentaries on The Office episodes. I don't watch a lot of commentaries, so my sample size is small, but I think they're some of the best I've heard, both funny and informative.

Yay for victor with the Doctor Who love!

If I only had a brain...

I just bumped into fiction whose pairings list read "Plaude and Mylar".

Don't shoot me now, shoot the author now.

I do believe in killing the messenger, you know why? Because it sends a message. ~ Damon Salvatore

Does anyone have discs of "Torchwood" I could convince them to send us?

Victor, i have all the eps burned in dvd format and would be willing to send them to you. only stipulation is i'd want them back once you're done watching them because the BBC dvds are so freakin' expensive i probably won't get around to buying them for a while. profile addy is good, if you're interested.

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

Okay, the episode of Dark Angel I'm watching now is pretty fun. I like the Street Sweeper character (played by the actor who plays Dwight on the Office), a lot.

"We are the Goon Squad and we're coming to town...Beep! Beep!" - David Bowie, "Fashion"

Evidently, some of their discs had tracks from "The Texas Chainsaw Massacre" at surprising points, which I image makes for a particularly suprising episode.

Huh? I've never done Netflix, but does Netflix get custom discs or something? Otherwise, I'd expect the whole run of season 2 would have these issues. Which I'm confuzzled by because why would BBC DVD have TTCM in their collection?

Also, welcome to the new crack.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

My guess is they were either deliberately hacked, or the Region 1 versions were authored by the same lab, and there was some kind of weird random encoding hiccup.

As I understand it, Netflix and Blockbuster don't get the same DVD sets we buy in stores, they pay a flat fee to get them mass-produced (up to so-and-so numbers.)

The problem came witht the mass-producer, who used discs that had previously had "The Chainsaw Massacre" on them, and there was an error that resulted in the "Chainsaw surprise."

The lost sheep grow teeth, forsake their lambs, and lie with the lions.

Damn you. Damn you all. I have now started watching SPN S1. I am two eps in and I know I'm going to be hooked.

Damn you all.
