Folks, there is no need to whitefont stuff that's going on as the episode airs. It confuses ita no end. The only stuff that should be white-fonted are things that haven't aired in the US yet.
Boxed Set, Vol. III: "That Can't Be Good..."
A topic for the discussion of Farscape, Smallville, and Due South. Beware possible invasions of Stargate, Highlander, or pretty much any other "genre" show that captures our fancy. Expect Adult Content and discussion of the Big Gay Sex.
Whitefont all unaired in the U.S. ep discussion, identifying it as such, and including the show and ep title in blackfont.
Blackfont is allowed after the show has aired on the east coast.
This is NOT a general TV discussion thread.
Tivo
The SciFi rep at Comic Con (can't remember whether it was BSG or SG) were very insistent that people not Tivo things, because it affects the ratings. I can't imagine how -- if a Tivo is recording the first broadcast, how is that interpreted by a Nielson box any differently than a human watching? -- but that's what they said.
This show continues to be charming as hell, even when the plots are a little muddled. It felt like they couldn't quite find the story until about halfway through. But still, love the Carter/Jo dynamic. All the character stuff was good this week.
Anyone know what movie they had Jo wathcing at the end? I was wildly guessing something like Saving Private Ryan, but I've never seen SPR so I couldn't know for sure.
Jon, it didn't look like SPR. I thought it was just generic documentary footage about modern special forces ops.
I'll be somewhat disappointed if it was generic footage, but maybe there were budget constraints.
Hey DX -- what's the tagline from?

A lot of that sort of thing is PD, so that would be my guess.
what's the tagline from?
I got it from a guy over on a baseball blog. I have no idea if it was an original or he he swiped it from someone else.
Okay, DX. Just didn't want to accidently spoil anyone on the far coast.
The Tivo thing makes me cranky. And frankly, Neilsens are based on such a small sample base (Farscape living or dying relied on less than ten Neilsen viewers) that the relative use of Tivo can't make much difference.
Is anyone else's programming box smoking monkey crack? I see "Eureka" on the schedule and get that sad-assed, pathetic "Who Wants to be the Next Comic Book Superhero" shit with Stan Lee's mummified mug?? WTF? Anyone know when they show repeats? I'm afraid to trust my obviously retarded DVR.

Facts like this only refresh my rage. *sigh*
