The Life On Mars episode 1 I have is about an hour long. But the file is twice as long as normal. And my site doesn't have two up. Confused now.
Boxed Set, Vol. III: "That Can't Be Good..."
A topic for the discussion of Farscape, Smallville, and Due South. Beware possible invasions of Stargate, Highlander, or pretty much any other "genre" show that captures our fancy. Expect Adult Content and discussion of the Big Gay Sex.
Whitefont all unaired in the U.S. ep discussion, identifying it as such, and including the show and ep title in blackfont.
Blackfont is allowed after the show has aired on the east coast.
This is NOT a general TV discussion thread.
It sounds as if you've got Episodes 1 & 2 together there, ita.
From the Kripke interview over at tv guide:
Do you think Papa Kent (John Schneider) from Smallville could join the show?
Kripke: Sure, why not? Bo Duke could be rocking the General Lee, and race the Impala. They'll jump a bridge, and we'll freeze-frame midair and go to commercial.
(The interview is slightlyn plot spoilery for stuff at the end of the season --- ummm, and I haven't finished reading it yet.)
ha! he's such a geek. i love it.
ita ... mine is 59:07 long and weighs in at 699MB. The second ep is 57:55 and 700MB. The only difference between them and--for example--my Atlantis files, is the audio of the former are 192kbps, while the latter are between 120 to 130kbps. Not sure why that should double the file size though...even with an extra 15 minutes of audio and video.
Oh and episode 2 is fucking brilliant. I never imagined they could outdo season 1 but season 2 of Life on Mars is even better. I can't imagine how the US version could even come close to the brilliance of the original. Not the least because they'll inevitably drag it out over 20+ episodes and as many seasons as they can flog the horse.
Dammit. I meant to say the file is twice as *big* as I was expecting, not twice as long.
Judging by jimi's post, I'm one short. And a good one to boot.
Oh my god, Life on Mars. I don't know how I survived this long without it, and I don't know what I'm going to do when it's done.
Woe. I had both episodes downloaded but didn't have the time to watch it last night. I mean, Friday Night Lights was awesome last night, but it ain't no Life on Mars. And tonight, I have to watch The Office (Jossssss!) and SPN.
I can't handle this much excellent TV all on at the same time. Didn't we use to bitch and moan about how little there is to watch on the tube?
i've heard great things about Life on Mars and had the opportunity to ahem season one. i haven't gotten a chance to watch it yet. i've been to involved with the tv i'm already watching. not to mention my personal quest to watch 100 movies this year.
i'm good at mainlining shows. so i'll get to it and gobble it up soon, i imagine.
