I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

We're also subjecting Athena to Heroes.

Well, sure. I have no problem being the pimper. Are we watching the Atlantis pilot too?

"Mister Spock is on his fanny, sir. Reports heavy damage."

Hey, I can't win 'em all. Although if I wanted to try and hook her this weekend while she's trapped in my apartment, what episodes should I hypothetically show her?

Pilot, to get the exposition out of the way. Wendigo, for the CKR. Home, Scarecrow, Faith, Shadow, Hell House, Dead Man's Blood.

I'm tempted to say Dead in the Water, for the lip thing in the diner. But, you know, I'm very shallow and easily swayed by visuals.

Which one has Sam in a towel?

Oh, like I haven't seen that. And I've seen the pilot, and Wendigo, and...some other ones. The one with Amy Acker. The racist truck.

So you've seen the first three, and Route 666.

Hmm.

You're totally made of sterner stuff than me.

I’d be lying if I didn’t say that I miss them all tonight…

The racist truck.

GHOST racist truck!

Home, yes. Which is pretty much where the collective fandom went, "Oh, Dean."

I know I've seen a couple more. Second to last of season one, I think. Parts of Bloody Mary.

I am the fly who dreams of the spider

*pets Mr. Muggles*

Nice Mr. Muggles, good poochie woochie.

the scene with the FBI guy patching his wound very clearly shows several tufts of hair/ears of different colors next to a briefcase filled with spray bottles and a set of pliers. If there was no ritual, why would they bother to keep them and possibly incriminate themselves?

Damn, you called it.

I was thinking about this today and thinking that if my theory was correct, then it would have clarified things better if they showed the FBI agents chucking their latest "trophies" into an incinerator.

But I'd rather handwave the idea that they were going to hang onto all the teeth and scalps and plant it on some patsy so they could wrap up their case once Raskin was cured, rather than handwave "they collected all these things for a ritual that never took place and the cure happened anyway".

And as much as I still hate the bad werewolf CGI and wished they'd with some simpler, practical bumpy-faced symbolism, I am realizing that for this story to have ended well the way it was set up, they needed the werewolves to look as they did, or else Raskin wouldn't have mistaken her lover for Heather. And it was a good fakeout.

eta that I read a quote at the OB copied from Butcher's forum stated by Robert Hewitt Wolfe (*whew!*) that the FBI agents were mistaken in their need for the hair, teeth and ritual.
