GF and I finally started watching S1 of Supernatural a couple of weeks ago. We watched Asylum last night. Dude. I was freaking out. I like the Jensen Ackles. So far, not so much love for Padalecki. He always has his mouth hanging open like "Der!"
Boxed Set, Vol. III: "That Can't Be Good..."
A topic for the discussion of Farscape, Smallville, and Due South. Beware possible invasions of Stargate, Highlander, or pretty much any other "genre" show that captures our fancy. Expect Adult Content and discussion of the Big Gay Sex.
Whitefont all unaired in the U.S. ep discussion, identifying it as such, and including the show and ep title in blackfont.
Blackfont is allowed after the show has aired on the east coast.
This is NOT a general TV discussion thread.
Padalecki grows on a person. He's improved a lot this season.
And lord save me, I'm starting to think of him as attractive. This, I will state, is new as of about three or four episodes ago.

That didn't start for me until the last ep. I'm not sure what that says about me, but there it is.
He still needs a haircut though.
Lee and I share a brain. J-Pad did nothing for me until this last epsiode. I'd really like to see him go completely and utterly evol for at least 3 or 4 episodes to wallow in the Jack Nicholsonesque grin when he's being all evol.

I am sad that it's up against BSG BUT BSG will be more than halfway done when it starts so it will only be conflicty for a few weeks.
(Being a Gilmore Girls fan and having only seen JA in Smallville prior to SPN - it's funny to me to see how many people felt nothing for JP prior to now. Because JP was one of the attractions of the show for me - and I was worried about JA . . . but Smallville must have some powerful bad acting mojo that prevents people from outshining TW . . . because JA was such a pleasant surprise as Dean.)
JP isn't my type, but I've seen some shots of him that do ping for me--for one thing, he's got an absolutely marvelous smile. And dimples!
Apparently, he is much more like Dean (i.e., a smartass) and JA is much more like Sam -- in real life.
That's funny, Sumi--reminds me of XF, where Duchovny was all serious and intellectual and and Anderson's a flake.

Huh. Because I've liked JA as Dean and as Alec on Dark Angel, both roles where he got his snark on. His role on Smallville was bleagh, but that could have been the aforementioned acting blackhole, or the the fact that he shared most of his screen time with Lana.
Well, there's a huge difference between being splashed with water - which is how an unpossessed person would experience it - and being thrown out of a 5th story window. The demon reacts to these things in the opposite way the person does.
Right, but there's obviously smoke and pain, which is why people were asking if the "holy water doesn't hurt the host" thing was consistent. I think we're both pretty much saying the same thing here.
I had a big ol' crush on Paddywhack when he was Dean on Gilmore Girls. He didn't initially ping me much as Sam (that HAIR! also, it's hard to compete with JA), but I've been totally digging him this season. Yum.
