Boxed Set, Vol. III: "That Can't Be Good..."
A topic for the discussion of Farscape, Smallville, and Due South. Beware possible invasions of Stargate, Highlander, or pretty much any other "genre" show that captures our fancy. Expect Adult Content and discussion of the Big Gay Sex.
Whitefont all unaired in the U.S. ep discussion, identifying it as such, and including the show and ep title in blackfont.
Blackfont is allowed after the show has aired on the east coast.
This is NOT a general TV discussion thread.
And now, a quick journey down the tinfoil hat road:
The two families that Linderman has the most explicit ties too -- The Hawkins/Sanders clan and the Petrellis -- have both produced superpowered offspring with two superpowered parents.
Huh. I'm not saying there's a direct connection there, but I think Claire and Micah bear watching.
Honeypie, I think shipping Claire and Micah is a new level of wrong.
Seriously, I really want to meet Linderman. He is the link to everyone. Has Hiro's sword. Collects Isaac's paintings. What the heck was the reason for pairing Jessica and Nathan? Linderman trying to create more special babies?
create more special babies?
oh, god no, not the baby farms!
oops!
I'd blame Linderman for the double posts.
The Haitian Sensation wiped my memory of hitting post the first time, it would seem.
Does he have a name yet?
speaking of names, did anyone else note the dangling of Mr. Bennet's first name before it was so rudely snatched away?
Was it just a silly tease to make us keep using silly names for him, or is there some DEEP SIGNIFICANCE to what his first name is. I mean, they kinda made a big deal out of it: "Gosh, it's so wierd to hear him called Mr. B., I just call him--"
eeenteresting!
It was a tease.
Also -- perhaps the disruption by the Pomeranian means that Mr. Muggles is part of Mr. Bennett's gang.
Can people hear Peter and Claude when they are invisible? It seemed like not when they were out on the street, but when Claude was hiding Peter in the hallway last ep he covered his mouth. I can argue either way, but I can't remember anything definitive.
I have been figuring that the invisibility produces a mild form of Somebody Else's Problem Field, at least in a crowd, where it is not really easy to trace all sounds to their sources. This explains why their convos on streets full of people who are unaware of Special Abilities don't get the attention that Dr. Where apparently expected Peter might attract in an otherwise quiet hallway from a handful of people who were not only actually looking for Peter but also aware of Superness if they were to hear him call out, even if they did see him.
Dear SGA 3.20:
I kind of love you, but I must sleep now.
More later.

ETA: But first, did we know this? From gateworld.net:
MGM has given a green light for the show's creators to produce two direct-to-DVD movies based on SG-1. Executive producer Brad Wright let TV Guide in on the news. The studio is targetting a fall 2007 release for both projects -- just a few months after Stargate SG-1 ends its historic, 10-year run on cable television. It's entirely possible that the movies will also be aired on television -- something SCI FI commonly does with direct-to-DVD movies.
To sum up: Movie one is tied to the end of S10, and movie two is a one-off. There are spoilers for plot points of both at the link, and in the bottom right of the page, casting (and ep title) spoilers for both SGA, SG-1, and the movies. [link]
Oh, and there's a quote in there from one of the EPs that, depending how these do, there could be more.
