I am not...I am not the damsel in distress. I am not some case. I have to work this. I've lived in a cave for 5 years in a world where they killed my kind like cattle. I am not going to be cut down by some monster flu. I am better than that. What a wonder...how very scared I am.

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

He's a smart kid with technopathic powers. He probably just asked the nice cameras to not work for a while.

This makes sense to me, and I was also wondering if it was possible that he would be too short for the cameras to get his face?

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

He looks awfully young for 12.

Nana korobi, ya oki. (Fall down seven times, stand up eight.) ~Yuzuru Hanyu/Japanese proverb

I've been thinking about the Haitian dude and the windchime that Claire hung in the window. Do you suppose his power has something to do with soundwaves and frequency? I thought I saw that Matt and Janice had a windchime hanging in their garden and it made me wonder if it was hung there by them unknowing (lots of people have windchimes) or if it was a garden gnome. He can tune into any frequency out there and it kind of explains why he can dampen thoughts and erase memories. He's got a built in noise canceller/squelch circuit based on whatever frequency he needs to deaden thoughts. Doesn't exactly explain the erasing memories, except that maybe by tracing thoughts back to the brain he can cancel them out at the level of the axion/neuron responsible for finding that memory? Eh, I'm looking too deep for scientific reasons. It's his superpower!

S to the A -- using they/them pronouns!

He is! That would be a fun crossover.

A turkey in every toilet -- only in America!

I was wondering if Sulu has a power. When we saw his face at the end, his eyes were very red, but it could have just been the lighting. Then again, even if it was the lighting, he could still have a power unrelated to his not red eyes.

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

Over on LJ, Vonnie (I think it was Vonnie) was speculating about this potential "older" generation of heroes. Daddy!Sulu would seem to be a prime candidate.

What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

Dude. Micah is totally Hundred from Ex Machina.

Yep. He totally is. A friend of mine pointed this out when he first manifested his power.

"I make mistakes, but I am on the side of Good," the Golux said, "by accident and happenchance.” – The 13 Clocks, James Thurber

and the windchime that Claire hung in the window

I can't be the only person who was waiting for her to make a big "X" out of masking tape. Or maybe "HG."

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

Ah, UPS has delivered more Dresden books. And I have pizza. Nothing else will be accomplished tonight!
