A topic for the discussion of Farscape, Smallville, and Due South. Beware possible invasions of Stargate, Highlander, or pretty much any other "genre" show that captures our fancy. Expect Adult Content and discussion of the Big Gay Sex.
Whitefont all unaired in the U.S. ep discussion, identifying it as such, and including the show and ep title in blackfont.
Blackfont is allowed after the show has aired on the east coast.
This is NOT a general TV discussion thread.
I don't know, though -- are bar assn.s really that forgiving of suspicion? I mean, even if Sam had stayed at Stanford and never looked crosswise at a credit card again, he'd already be disqualified from being, say, a casino dealer, due to the unsavoryness of his family, right?
Imagine him (say, pre-show) trying to pass a background check! "Okay, write down every address you've lived at for the past five years." "...Are you sure you want all of them??"
Depends on the state. I'm not saying that Sam doesn't have issues, just that this
particular
issue is not, in itself, despositive.
Well, I think Sam's given up the whole law school thing anyway.
More importantly -- they are so screwed!
Okay, so none of you guys (and almost nobody over at TWOP) found it odd that one of the Feds would have been assigned to the Winchesters? Like, they are really little more than petty thieves and grifters and probably wouldn't have attracted attention from the FBI. Would the murders in St. Louis have been enough to get them scrutinized as serial killers?
The St. Louis murders were definitely serial-type; I think that word was used in that episode. Presuming that fingerprints do actually exist in this universe, they're dead to rights on a jillion counts of breaking and entering, leaving the scene of a crime, etc. Sam may be relatively safe from fraud charges, since the police have never officially opened his wallet, but Dean's wallet should have been opened when he was arrested in Baltimore, at which point all the Yohn Yohnson credit cards should have got him in hot water.
Which is not to say that we've seen them commit very many felonies (aside from the credit cards I mean), but the police, following along at a distance, and picking up various forensic details without the close-up meta-narrative that people like the deputy from The Benders got? Agent Gotcha is probably convinced they're a clan of spree-killing home-invasion artists.
