Oh, at first it was confusing. Just the idea of computers was like — whoa! I'm eleven hundred years old! I had trouble adjusting to the idea of Lutherans.

"Cry havoc and let slip the boobs of war!" -- Miracleman

Must have been on the show Vortex, because I saw that too.

And, considering the "Heroes" logo/show opening, it makes sense. Why am I still whitefonting? It was the eclipse.

yeah, that's always been my impression. what i'm curious about is the fact that HRG has apparently been doing this for years though. didn't he sort of imply that Claire's birth parents were "special" and that "studying" them became problematic and they were killed. (i can't remember if it was just the mother discussed or mother and father.)

That's true. but there have been lots of eclipses, so maybe a different eclipse activated people's powers previously.

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

Or maybe people with powers were extra-extra-special back then, and now the speciality has increased so that it's 0.01% of the population instead of 0.0001%

Art Crawl!!!

Two BSG promos. The first one aired after the Monday night repeat - the second one aired in Canada. Much more interesting than the promo that aired after Sunday's episode.

And there are two Director's cuts for SPN up at the CW website.

Our wings are not tired.

People were on the list and known to have the latent powers before the eclipse activated the powers. Hiro tried to manipulate time long before it happened. That's my story.

I think HRG had the list with Claire on it and something bad happened when he approached the parents. Or he stole her. Or something.

Hmmm, I'd forgotten about the eclipse. I don't think there were two, though. The one that Micah made the box for and that Mohinder talked about to whomever was present day and we see in SMA that everyone already had powers. So, maybe the eclipse is just what gets everyone converging, not necessarily their powers. Kind of like the instinct that sends animals migrating at a specific time to a specific place, like New York. Damn, I really need a timeline drawn out to see just what happened when.

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

That's cool.

A turkey in every toilet -- only in America!

The clip and the comic give a very strong indication of what that something is.

I think what Tom is referring to has also been discussed on the show in another context, so I\'m not whitefonting:

It seems like some of the characters believe that their powers were activated when they were captured -- Ted the nuclear guy and Matt the mind-reading cop had a brief conversation about it, showing each other their two-line scars. But Matt was reading minds before he was captured, so I don\'t think this is the case. It\'s possible that the Haitian erased their memories of their powers from before they were captured, so that they only believe that that\'s when they got their powers.

That's true, but are we going to see everyone else going through the same thing? What about folks like Hiro, Nikki and DL? I don't see how HRG could get to every single one of them to activate their powers. Plus, would he have done that to his own daughter?
