Boxed Set, Vol. III: "That Can't Be Good..."
A topic for the discussion of Farscape, Smallville, and Due South. Beware possible invasions of Stargate, Highlander, or pretty much any other "genre" show that captures our fancy. Expect Adult Content and discussion of the Big Gay Sex.
Whitefont all unaired in the U.S. ep discussion, identifying it as such, and including the show and ep title in blackfont.
Blackfont is allowed after the show has aired on the east coast.
This is NOT a general TV discussion thread.
Someone in my comments pointed out that this would make no sense because Linderman's people were genuinely confused when Nathan was kidnapped in Vegas.
Good point, although it's not impossible that Linderman sequesters information from his henchlings -- the mobsters think he's a mobster, the spooks think he's a spook, the artist types think he's a meal ticket.
Also? I've decided to call Christopher Eccleston "Doctor Where?"

Excellent...

I think Bennett does work for Lindermann. They had no problem getting into the hotel to do the kidnapping. Plus, somebody has to own that paper factory, and Lindermann seems to have the wherewithal. Unless Hurley owns it.
Also? \"FLYING MAN!!!\"
That had me laughing out loud.

Also, what Victor said. I\'m still entrenched in the Linderman-is-HRG\'s-Boss camp.

HA HA HA HA. I will be using that and TMing you, I think, Victor. That's awesome.
They could have just gotten their wires crossed, or Linderman could have not told them in order to make it look good.

Especially Nathan's "I just realized after taking a gulp that I put 3 teaspoons of salt in my coffee instead of sugar" expression when Hiro said it.
I was ridiculously happy that Claire managed to re-establish her bond with Zach (it's Zach, right?), and I fervently hope the writers don't subject these two to their own personal version of GROUNDHOG'S DAY.
The where does Linderman fit in to the whole picture question is indeed interesting. The whole Nathan/Niki encounter thing thrown in there too. Did he know they were both special?
I just want to watch "Flying Man!!" over and over. Hiro really tops the adorable list.
There was a lot to love in the episode, which I have to rewatch because of having to work while watching. The Claire and Zach scenes were lovely. Do we know what the Haitian dude is up to with not mindwiping Claire? I feel like I've missed something.

I just posted about this at WX. My guess is that Eraserhead is more loyal to Linderman than to HRG, and that HRG\'s \"private use\" of Eraserhead\'s ability (on his own family, etc.) is something that Linderman had not authorized. More than that, Eraserhead and Linderman might know that it\'s important for Claire to know who she is. HRG is letting his personal affairs get in the way of The Mission (whatever that may be).

That was my favourite bit from the episode. I love Claire a lot a lot A LOT. That's one resilient teenager, and not just in the obvious physical way.
Claire would have to be careful about hiding her newly-reestablished friendship from her father. I did wonder about what Bennet would do if he found out -- he could force the Haitian to Eternal-Sunshine them again! That would be tragic.
Also? "FLYING MAN!!!"
Right? And the exchange over the pronunciation of "villain." Nathan+Hiro=Adorable.
HRG is horn-rimmed glasses? I know who he is, but I've forgotten how he got the HRG designation.
