Ngah. I'm much more up to speed than I was, having spent the weekend watching most of current seasons of SPN, Heroes and BSG, but still have mighty envy of you realtime watching people.
Meanwhile, wrt Heroes, did you all know already that Hiro is played by a total renaissance bloke? I am gobsmacked. Cute as a button, funny as hell AND a brain the size of manhattan. Gah.

...so, having just played catchup with BSG up to the last-but-one episode, I have to say that much as I enjoyed the backstory-packed Lee'n'Kara episode, I still shouted at the screen quite a lot. Because okay, fine, now they bother to tell us what went down. But honestly, I just get the feeling that the writers cannot be arsed to write continuity stuff for relationships a lot of the time - like the whole Lee'n'Dee 2getha4evah! overnight thing. Pshaw. And it's not the Lee/Kara OTP thing I'm bothered about - Lee and Kara and Adama were a tightknit and profoundly screwed up little family unit for much of Seasons 1 and 2, which was engaging and interesting dramatically well before the whole 'ooh, yeah, she DOES fancy him' revelation - and to entirely disregard that dynamic - to give us barely, what, TWO fleeting scenes involving Kara with Lee or his dad FOR THE FIRST TWO MONTHS OF SEASON 3...well, I just think that's shitty storytelling. And especially if we're supposed to accept that she and he have been lusting after each other confusedly the whole time. And that Adama has no reason to have a sudden hate-on for her - would, it's reasonable to suppose, have been especially worried about her, since she's his adoptive daughter, effectively. But apparently - nope. She's just some arsey chick who works for him. It pisses me off. It's like badfic. 'blah blah blah stuff happened that I can't be bothered writing, now we're at this point. Accept it.' The Tigh-Adama friendship continues to be delineated interestingly, so why did Starbuck just get dumped? Grr. And, yes, sure, the whole episode is All About Lee And Kara - and yes, sure, I do buy that that could have happened, and that they would each react exactly thus - but it's not enough, really, to present it to us all neatly wrapped up with a bow at this point. And what the hell about Kara's relationship with Adama? Is he over the whole father-daughter thing, now that he's got Sharon the Cylon to chat with? REALLY?
bangs head on desk.
Pissed me off. Hmph.
...still want more BSG, though.
