hip deep in pie

If only you'd had seen her as the host of Canada's Next Top Model - her BSG character was as animated as Jim Carrey next to her real life personality.

A turkey in every toilet -- only in America!

Is it mean of me to hope they had to airbrush at least a little?

You have seen that Dove flash video, right? At a bare minimum those photos are airbrushed.

doesn't make me think the photos are any less hott, though.

"Mister Spock is on his fanny, sir. Reports heavy damage."

Okay, the creepiest part of that video is where they pick up her whole head and stretch out her neck. That is just too bizarre for words.

One of the things I will say about Tricia Helfer naked is that, for all the posing and the airbrushing, she's got reasonably natural-looking breasts and nobody said "Wait! You have to stand on your head to make them perkier!" A whole lot of quasi-porny hot-shot poses are incredibly uncomfortable, because the poser's comfort is as nothing to the stimulation for the pose-ee.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

At a bare minimum those photos are airbrushed.

Yeah, but she's not airbrushed on the show -- where we've seen most of that skin before -- and she doesn't look noticeably better/different in the pictures. Just more naked.

Days shrink and grow cold, sunlight through leaves is my song. Winter is long.

Waking this morning, in that half-dreaming state, it occurred to me that Gordon is one of the Frog brothers from Lost Boys. "Kill your brother, you'll feel better."

Hey, it was pre-coffee.

What is even happening?

I didn't look at the Helfer shots, but she really is incredible looking. Dh, whose tastes are strongly skewed in favor of buxom brunettes, can't deny her wibble-inducing qualities.

When we first started watching BSG, she made me realize (remember) there's this whole group of people who, in addition to being naturally blessed, work extra hard to look so good. I mean, genes and even professional hair, make-up, lighting and wardrobe can still only do so much. Helfer's a visual wonder and I expect she's earned it. She's truly something.

Bob's learned to live with tragedy, but he knows that this tragedy is one that won't ever leave him or get better.

Oh, she's just a damn gorgeous woman. I don't deny or doubt it in any way. Stunning.

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

And very nice. I will spare you all the obligatory story, since I always pull it out, but she was very nice.

What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

Dana, I missed the "it" in "pull it out" the first time and wondered what kind of story this was.

"You can't put a price on the joy of not giving a shit." -Zenkitty

Not Dana, but:

At Dragon*Con 2005, Tricia (and Adam Baldwin) were donating all their autograph proceeds to Hurricane Katrina charities (the hurricane happened roughly concurrent with the con). Dana thanked Tricia and got a little, um, teary about it, and Tricia was very nice about being cried on.
