Dean's accent?
I thought that Katharine Isabelle was doing an odd thing. She didn't sound quite Canadian to me but not really very Illinois. She was from Peoria, CanIllinois.
I love how Sam's accent, and this seems to be when they're having conversations in the car - gets stronger when he's talking to Dean.
Dean's accent?
It just sounds odd to me at times. Then again, I was raised in the NE so my ears may be odd.
Well, JA and JP are both from Texas. If that explains matters.
Are the characters from Texas?
They were born in Kansas, but started moving around (presumably I'm not sure what the canon is for how much moving they did as children) when Dean was 4 and Sam was a baby after their mother was killed by the Yellow eyed demon.
The characters are "from" Kansas, but stopped being "from" anywhere when Dean was 4 and Sammy was a baby.
I'm sorry you didn't like the ep that much, Laura. This was one of the bleaker ones, but there is never a whole lot of funny, like there was with Buffy. I think you might like it more with the backstory though, so I hope you do watch this summer.
I am happy Victor found the love, or at least understands it. More spicy brains!
Dean was wailing on Gordon like whoa. And then Gordon takes Dean down with two shots?
One of which was with a rifle butt (buttstroke! (sorry, krav thing)), and later on when Sam was fighting Gordon you saw the same thing--hands, eh, whatever, and then Sam got his hands on the rifle, and then we had unconsciousness.
What irritated me was Sam's vanishing facial injuries. I know the show's been better about them in the past.
One of which was with a rifle butt (buttstroke!
Oh, I agree that a buttstroke would probably take anybody out. Maybe you can tell me, though, if all the smacking around that Dean did of Gordon would really not keep him down a little longer than it did? I think that's what I object to more, was Gordon's recovery than the fact Dean went down so quickly.
What irritated me was Sam's vanishing facial injuries.
Oh, I caught that too. V. annoying.
