Angel: He is dead. Technically, he's undead. It's a zombie. Connor: What's a zombie? Angel: It's an undead thing. Connor: Like you? Angel: No, zombies are slow-moving, dimwitted things that crave human flesh. Connor: Like you. Angel: No! It's different. Trust me.

"Mister Spock is on his fanny, sir. Reports heavy damage."

I think Fiance Dude was stuck to the ceiling at one point. And then... the demon glue came undone and he fell off. Like when you don't have enough glue, and it sort of makes these long, loooong globs as the thing falls off?

I'm still working on why he didn't set the house on fire. Possibly only babies get fire, and Sam, being as emo as he is, counts as a baby.

"I make mistakes, but I am on the side of Good," the Golux said, "by accident and happenchance.” – The 13 Clocks, James Thurber

Was the Fiance dude face up or face down? I thought he was face up, and the other women we saw stuck on the ceiling were there in such a position that they would have splatted face down.

Art Crawl!!!

He was face up and it looked like his legs had been ripped off or something.

We are Buffistas. This isn't our first apocalypse. -- Pix

Totally face up.

I loved Ava and I really hope she's neither dead nor demonic. Perhaps she was kidnapped by the demon kid from the last episode--remember him?

John, you bastard. I really want to like John Winchester and I keep trying to interpret things in his favor, and then they throw us this kind of shit. "Careful, Dean, you may have to kill your brother." WTF? How can you say that to your son!

Not to mention, poor Sam, thinking that that was his father's last thoughts of him. Argh. I think if they ever do get John back from hell the first thing Sam will do is clock him, and he'll deserve it.

There were lots of anvils in this episode, but I loved that Sam and Dean have a CODE WORD so much. I didn't love that Dean couldn't figure out how to escape from Gordon, and I suspect that Ash or Jo may be the leak at the Roadhouse, even if well-intentioned.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

How can you say that to your son!

I dunno--it seems terribly in character for him. He loves them, but he's sacrificed so much of his and theirs because there's something else more important to them.

He is a soldier in his own right.

I'm hoping Ava was kidnapped, not a participant--there's wishful thinking, plus I figure she's more likely to lose jewelry in an abduction struggle.

I make things up to keep me happy sometimes.

GS: If you had to choose between kicking evil in the head or the behind, which would you choose, and why? Minsc: I'm not sure I understand the question. I have two feet, do I not? You do not take a small plate when the feast of evil welcomes seconds.

There were lots of anvils in this episode, but I loved that Sam and Dean have a CODE WORD so much.

They've used code words in the past. When Dean was arrested for murder and Sam as an accomplice, Dean got a seemingly-innocuous message to him telling him to break out of jail and investigate a particular place.

Still, I love that they have code words for all kinds of different situations, including "Hey, I'm being held hostage by a guy with a gun." I'm sure there's a different code word for "Hey, I'm being held hostage by some supernatural beastie that plans to eat me."

So come, my friends, be not afraid/We are so lightly here/It is in love that we are made; In love we disappear

Because he couldn't make a bargain that would let him stay and be the one in that position, Suela. Rock and a hard place.

I loved Ava and I really hope she's neither dead nor demonic. Perhaps she was kidnapped by the demon kid from the last episode--remember him?

Me too. I adored her. And not just because of a pre-existing crush condition regarding the actress.

I suspect that Ash or Jo may be the leak at the Roadhouse, even if well-intentioned.

Possibly Jo, if they're sticking to the Jo's diary version of her backstory where she saw Gordon as a kind of mentor type.

My main flailing is in the LJ.

But I'm more than willing to sort of flail about here. As I said there, I've just rewatched Bloodlust-No Exit, and am damn impressed with the way this was set up.

I didn't love that Dean couldn't figure out how to escape from Gordon

It makes me look back at Bloodlust and suspect Gordon was off his game, that non-lethal vampires were something that hit slightly too close, and to think that Dean's in the same sort of position in this episode.

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

I loved Ava and I really hope she's neither dead nor demonic.

Me too. I suspect she won't be, or at least that it won't be clear, so that Sam has a love interest.

I REALLY hope that Ellen is not the leak, but I am afraid she might be, unless her phone is tapped.

John's last words to Dean do seem in character to me, too. I'm not a John hater, but the man has issues.

Plei, can I tag the first line in your LJ?

Sure! I have no memory of what it was. But sure!
