"You can't put a price on the joy of not giving a shit." -Zenkitty

Well, I find Jensen to be incredibly good-looking, and occasionally really hot. When he's being Dean Winchester, on the other hand, he's always hot like Jesus fuck. With the leather and the blood and the knives and guns and the woobie and the dorktastic references. Hot to such a degree that I can only flail and point and make DEAAAAN noises.

I'd be embarrassed, but I seem to be in good company.

GS: If you had to choose between kicking evil in the head or the behind, which would you choose, and why? Minsc: I'm not sure I understand the question. I have two feet, do I not? You do not take a small plate when the feast of evil welcomes seconds.

Couple new Dresden files promos (though they recycle a little bit with each other and previous promos.)

Glad to see they're finally showing a touch of humor in these.

...

I'm the only one who actually gives a crap, aren't I?

vanguard of the socialist Hollywood liberal homosexualist agenda

Kalshane, I just set the TiVo for it tonight, and my friend K begged and pleaded the other day to make sure that I would have it so she could watch too.

Art Crawl!!!

No way! I'm really looking forward to the Dresden Files.

Sadly, my computer wouldn't let me get to the interview you linked to earlier.

(BTW, ImDB has AD at 6'2", DB at 6'1" and JAR at 6'4" and Amy Acker at 5'8". . . too bad there couldn't be an Angel/SPN x-over or tall-athon.)

Mrph. Yeah.

Dude, you didn't even mention that lip thing. Because, damn.

And I just rewatched Simon Said. The dork is strong in this one.

Okay. Cool. Because I'm all sorts of excited (changes aside) and it makes me post links to stuff and then I feel like a giant dork. I'm glad I'm not just wasting electrons.

"Cry havoc and let slip the boobs of war!" -- Miracleman

I set the tivo from my computer at work. not taking a chance. I actually bought "Storm Front" so that I would be all fresh. I'm disturbed that the detective chick isn't blond, but I probably wouldn't have noticed if I hadn't just read the book.

Sci-Fi is actually playing with the airing order. (Go figure.) I think we're getting Episode 3 first, then Episode 4 or 5, then Episode 1 "Storm Front". Though aside from the pilot (which Sci-Fi requested be chopped down from 2 hours to 1) they're not going to follow the plotlines from the books. Robert Wolfe's explanation is such:

"We're not sticking strictly to Jim's overall chronology or main plotpoints at all. Except when we do. So if you watch an episode of the show which you think is going to turn out the same way as a similar episode in one of the books, you're going to be in for some surprises. Except when you're not. Basically, our Dresden may vary. Remain calm."

Jim Butcher described it in a podcast interview as being like the X-Men movies. The same basic idea and characters are there, but it's a different universe with its own quirks and chronology.

I'm disturbed that the detective chick isn't blond, but I probably wouldn't have noticed if I hadn't just read the book.

One of many, many changes. Though this was simply a quirk of casting. The actress they have playing Murphy actually came in to read for Susan (the reporter/love-interest from the book, who is latina) and the actress now playing Susan like-wise came in to read for Murphy. After working with them, they had them try reading for the opposite parts and they completely nailed them. So in the series we have a tall, dark-haired Murphy and a short, blonde Susan. It bugs a bit, but in the end I'd rather have the right actors for the part than someone who perfectly embodies the physical features of the character.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I seem to remember Amy Acker being taller than me, but it was dark and I was sleepy by that point.

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

I'd follow Robert Hewitt Wolfe into (video) Hell, so I'm onboard for the Dresden Files for sure.
