SciFi and BBCA are both basic cable.

Boxed Set, Vol. III: "That Can't Be Good..."
A topic for the discussion of Farscape, Smallville, and Due South. Beware possible invasions of Stargate, Highlander, or pretty much any other "genre" show that captures our fancy. Expect Adult Content and discussion of the Big Gay Sex.
Whitefont all unaired in the U.S. ep discussion, identifying it as such, and including the show and ep title in blackfont.
Blackfont is allowed after the show has aired on the east coast.
This is NOT a general TV discussion thread.
hmmm...then, i don't know. there's a lot about Torchwood that american tv doesn't deal well with.
Well, in one sense. . . but in another they aren't: I get them both via Digital Cable only -- so they are standard for Digital Cable in my area but they aren't available to people who just have regular cable. (Cable has too many classes, doesn't it?)
What would be really great is that BBCA could run it and then put the less cut up versions On Demand. (As they did with Life on Mars.)
(you're joking, right?)
Well,on a meta level that may have been the part I was most enthusiastic about, since I loathe Owen sufficiently to viscerally want his Fred-on-Angel style death that ain't nobody being brought back from.
In terms of actual quality moments within the story, I'd pick the immediate return of Captain Jack's original personality upon traveling to the 40s, and the menace when it was revealed that Billis Manger existed in both times. I could see what they were going for with the real Captain Jack's carpe diem revelation, but the actor reminded me too much of Fred Gwynne for me to get into the moment fully. I was subconsciously waiting him to call for Lily or Grandpa in Herman Munster's voice the whole episode .
SciFi and BBCA are both basic cable.
not in my area. BBCA is digital. and frankly, cable could show a lot more than it does. Have you noticed the subtle proliferation of cursing? still no "fuck", but you'll hear "shit" all the time on Nip/Tuck, for example.
God, I wish BBCA was basic cable.
That'd be neat. I think my computer would appreciate the break, too.
Yet curiously Nip/Tuck is able to get pretty graphic in visually demonstrating "fuck" even if they don't say it.
BBCA is digital
Oh, I didn't realize -- TWC stopped offering analog service about a year ago, so digital and basic are the same list of channels here.
I watched some Farscape today, and then the miniseries.
I got all sniffly. My show!
I received the Starburst DVDs I was missing for Christmas, so I now have the entire series on DVD. So I've been wallowing in Farscape the past two weeks. John Crichton in black leather, come to mama! I just finished "John Quixote" (season 4, episode 7), which I really can't warm up to. But the next set includes the return to Earth, and "Merry Frelling Christmas!", and Rygel getting hooked on chocolate, and young John being deflowered by Chiana, so there are good times ahead.
I'm hoping now that Ben Browder and Claudia Black have some free time coming up they might do a Starburst version of the mini-series, so we can have that come out with a commentary track. The version that's out now is pretty bare bones when it comes to extras.
